Winter is coming, right? So we need some long-lasting protection on our cars. I have 4 coats of Blackfire on my car, plus I got the QD and the shampoo to keep it lasting through winter. I have a hose that I can adjust to output warm to hot water, so I will probably be able to wash my car once or twice this winter with the shampoo and then QD it. But for some dang reason I just really want to apply Souveran on top of it. I got it with that Forum Favorite kit (my Souv didn't come in a box or with the nice sack, though). I haven't used it on anything yet. It's killing me. I also have the Crystal Mist QD that came with the kit, so I could QD the carnauba to keep it up.



But am I crazy? Would it be totally idiotic to put a coat of Souveran on right before winter? Would the carnauba shorten the life of the BF underneath or extend it? Would it be dumb because then I couldn't wash with the BF shampoo in the middle of winter in order to get that little extra layer? I even have #26 which would be a more durable carnauba topper, but I don't care about #26 over Blackfire. So what should I do? Just take a cold shower and try to forget about the Souveran until spring?
 
I have used Souveran as a BF topper and ya know what I've found? It not only looks great but its soooooo easy to use. I just love the way a fine carnauba applies & removes. I can do coat after coat after coat..........



Are ya tempted to slap on a coat? I know I'd be. Of course you should use the Souveran! Are ya crazy??? :D Apply as much as you can during the winter. Ya bought it to use it, right? Go for it!! :up
 
That's funny. I am in a similar "quandry". I have 9 coats of Z2 for the Winter and I am going to do another 2 or 3 ASAP. I just got a jar of S100 and I am not sure if I can resist the urge to do a topper. On the one hand I can look at it like a sacrificial layer over my Z for Winter but on the other hand how can I Z-6..... and will it reduce the clarity I have on my silver car with Z and what about a Z-7 wash if I can do it and what about degredation.....etc. etc. etc................

I know what you mean but I don't know what to do...:confused:

.... Have your wife place the Souveran in a box and mail to me immediately. The winters are rather mild here and I will put the Souvaran to good use.;) If this product remains in your possession you are likely venture to try to apply a coat in below freezing weather. Not good for the fingers. I am sacrificing ( the possibility of not being able to use a lesser wax in the future) myself for you, dude. :D





Truthfully, do not fight the urge. Go ahead a apply some Souveran. If you are able to only wash once a month this winter you can still use the BF shampoo and reap the benefits of BF re-enforcement with the shampoo and QD. Most likely the Souveran will have worn off between washing.:xyxthumbs
 
I myself went ahead and put a coat of S100 over my Zaino. I figure wht not? It turned out awesome, I am very happy I did.



I plan to buy a gallon of Gold Class car wash $10, a gallon of 3M gloss enhancer $15, and have a gorgeous shiny car thruout winter for chump change. I can afford to wash it whenever and not be out a ton of money comapred to the price of Zaino products.

go for it. why keep beauty in a can,you will be amazed before you are half way through... enjoy it 2xBF 2 x s wax is what i'm wearing now:D
