Always wear your seatbelts! (This is NOT going to buff out :( )

Todd, I didn't realize that our conversation about Cobalt's and HHR's being cheaply made would turn into this! I was just stating that I didn't like ours and was glad to trade it in. Geez man.

Seriously though, hope all is well and you recover properly.

You need this to ride in and carry your supplies:

Todd-

I am glad you are okay, hope your back feels betterGet Well

But i think your car could just use some last touch and it will be good lol

As an Auto Appraiser I see cars involved in serious accidents every day. Very rarely do I see one that had rolled over (better yet 3+ times) with the occupants being able to walk away with only minor cuts. Your survival is absolutley miraculous.

Even though you are insured with a very respectable company, please let me know if you need any coaching with your claim. Look at the bright side, you can now get a new detail vehicle. :Gift:

WOW Todd, thank God your OK!! I just called you today not knowing this had happened. Call me! Praying for you.

Todd im sorry you wrecked your car !That just sucks! So glad your feeling ok now but please pay attention on how your feeling the next few days . Sometimes injurys dont show up for a few days. I had a similar accident years ago and thought I was ok too and then started having all kinds of troubles for the next several months .

Sorry !Not to worry you .........its just something to pay attention to. I used to work with injured patients mostly from car accidents and unfortunetly its common not to feel the effects for a few days . But the younger and more fit you are the faster you heal so you have that on your side .

Im hoping you are perfectly fine and that could be too ~!

Before it becomes generic by repetition (responding to everybody's posts) I wanted to say THANK YOU very much for all the warm wishes, thoughts, and prayers. I am SO grateful to be healthy and unscathed, and I fully appreciate how lucky I am.

I received at least 30 phone calls and text messages today (between talking with my insurance and scheduling clients that my schedule has forced me to neglect) I am overwhelmed. Thank you guys (and gal) SO MUCH, it truly means the world to me! :notworthy:

Good God man! Glad you're ok, I hear ya on the next car - go to the IIHS.org and read the crash tests.

Thank you James. I will check that out tonight when I am done typing that response.

Man! Glad to see your ok! That really gets you thinking though?

I am glad, lucky, and blessed to be okay. All I could think of last night was going home to my family and I am lucky to have been able to do that!!!

Holy C**p, I was just on the phone with Eric yesterday afternoon and he said you guys just left.................glad you are alright. Looks like the HHR's safety is not in question at all as in some cars you would be expired..... someone or something was there on your behalf:angel:.

Todd replace that "LS" model with the "SS" trim and have it flashed like I did the wife's rig in Black of course:D:D Get Well

I am in the middle of drafting a letter to Chevrolet to let them know how pleased I am with the job the car did of dispersing the energy of the impact around me and keeping me safe. I don't know if another HHR is in the works and I may have an aversion to driving another one (bad memories type of thing).

Your wife has the BEST looking HHR I have seen though. Wow that thing is SHARP, and you have the peace of mind of knowing that GM did a hell of a job in designing the crumple zones and keeping the occupants safe. The interior of my car (despite the broken class everywhere) was completely intact. Any passengers in my car would have likely been fine, minus the broken glass. Thanks for the warm wishes.

Todd,

Glad you are OK all things considered.

Can you say TEST PANNELS?

Thanks Jeff. I feel GREAT and lucky!

Damm boy! Glad you are ok!

Get yourself one of those monster trucks from SEMA, that way you can drive over the mini without touching it.

Tru dat playa.

Todd,

So sorry to hear and see what happened.

I am glad that you are ok, and not banged up in the ICU ward of the hospital.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours; hope you heal up fine.

Dont worry about us - we will all be ok, and will keep the light on until you return.

Best,

Dan F

Thank you so much Mr. Franco. Minus some annoying cuts there is nothing to heel. I never felt much of an impact, the car did an amazing job!

WOW! Glad to see your OK. That must of been some scary stuff...take it easy for a little bit..

Thanks Chuck! It wasn't as scary as I would imagine it would be. I was quite aware the whole time what was happening, did my best to counter steer and apply gas (to transfer the weight to rear tires) and ride out the slide. I was more concerned about settling the car when it caught and would want to snap back the other way. I was full opposite lock, lightly pressing the gas, waiting for it to catch, when I realized I was out of road.

I knew it was going to flip and thought to myself: stay relaxed. I remember hearing that is why drunk drivers survive so many impacts. So when the HHR went airborne I relaxed and kept my eyes open so I could see what was happening.

It is frightening in hindsight to think of what could have happened but dwelling on that will turn me into a paranoid hermit. Instead I will just count my blessings and wrap myself in the love of my family. Thank you for the warm wishes!

Wow that is crazy. Glad to see you are ok, that was a nasty wreck.

Thank you very much!

Looks like you're in for about a five or six Advil kinda day.

Thank God you're OK.

Thank you Tim. No pills today, none needed. Just a little sore from cuts but otherwise perfect!

Good to hear you're ok Todd. Cars can easily be replaced unlike people. Get plenty of rest and I hope you'll be back to 100% soon.

Thanks Matt! I agree with 100,000,000 percent. Life is good brother!

Holy cow, rollover accidents are always bad and this one is no different. Glad your OK, and as you stated in the thread title "Always wear your seatbelt".

]Amen! With out the seatbelt I am convinced I would be dead. It, along with Chevy's engineering, and the Grace of God saved my life.
Glad to see you are okay.

Find out who lost the mattress, then get a cervical collar and a cane and stay out of work for six months.

Find a lawyer. ;)

Nah, too honest to exaggerate. I am fine and with my family, and that means more than any pseudo-lawsuit could. But I agree, the mattress owner is liable (and will never be found). Thanks for the warm words!

Glad to hear you're OK
BTW, i'm wondering what car you will choose/prefer to drive after this...

Probably not an HHR, even though I am overwhelmed by the job it did. I am looking at either a Volvo V50 or an Audi A3, although full sized trucks sound good as well. I am open to any suggestions!

Hey Buddy, Jack called me this morning and told me what happened. I hope you are doing OK. That was a crappy way of ending your trip, thats for sure. If you need anything at all, just let me know. Take care.

Eric

Thank you Eric for the kind words. We will talk soon buddy, you rock!

WOW, after seeing those pictures you are fortunate. I'm glad you're only suffering minor injuries and sorry to see the condition of you're ride. Take care and get back to full 100% soon.

I feel very fortunate! Thanks Paul!

Holly Cow Todd!!! Glad you're ok buddy!

Hope someone saw the idiot that lost the mattress! :cursing:

The angels must have been out in full force yesterday because my father was in a really bad crash too, yet walked away rather unharmed.

Rasky

I am SO GLAD that your father is okay. It only takes 1 second... Thank you for the kind words Chad!

Wow, that was a pretty bad lookin wreck, glad you are ok.

Hope you're feeling better, get well.

-Kody-

Thanks Kody! Feel very good!

Get Well 2Hey Todd glad your OK the car is replaceable but you aren't. I assume now you don't have to worry about that factory defect in the paint or the rear bumper anymore. Now is the time to put your self in a Volvo XC90 they just laugh at an accident no matter how bad it is .Let me know if you need anything .

Thanks Adam, great talking today! Give me a shout tomorrow!

Todd, I didn't realize that our conversation about Cobalt's and HHR's being cheaply made would turn into this! I was just stating that I didn't like ours and was glad to trade it in. Geez man.

Thanks Richard. If anything I think the Chevy did an awesome job. I hope you and your wife had a safe trip back, it was pleasure to meet the both of you!!!

Good to hear you are OK Todd! Get Well

Thanks Pat. I feel great buddy, we have to catch up soon!

Glad to see your okay Todd, looked like a terrible crash. Definitely one of those life altering experiences huh?

Absolutely. Thanks for the kind words Dave, I cannot remember a time when it nicer to come home. With every lemon comes lemonade!

Glad you are OK Todd. We need you here.

I'm not going anywhere! My wife isn't that luck ;). Thanks for the warm words!

Todd-

I am glad you are okay, hope your back feels betterGet Well

But i think your car could just use some last touch and it will be good lol

Number 34 IMO. My back is still a little tender, but all things considered, great. I may still go to the doc tomorrow after I get a rental just to double check, but could not image it being better all things considered.

Thanks for your support David. I feel SO luck and grateful, it really is humbling.

WOW Todd, thank God your OK!! I just called you today not knowing this had happened. Call me! Praying for you.

Thanks Eddy. I got about 20 phone calls to make tomorrow, you are at the top of the list.

I am glad you came out in decent shape.

Oh my Todd! Thank God you are ok.

Thanks CEE DOG! Today is the best I felt in years, to be honest, and I am grateful for it!

That is just insane...

Haven't been very active on line but just wanted to pop in to say I am glad you are ok - all things considered it is amazing you are as unharmed as you are!

Thanks Jason. Give me a call sometime soon!

If I can get a rental tomorrow then I will check up with a doctor. I didn't feel any impact and I was quite aware during the experience, but you are right. You just never know! Thanks for the warm words.

Maestro Todd Im totally shocked how life can turn around so quick. I would never imagine your trip was going to have this sad episode. I just want to join the rest by saying we are glad you are out of this situation the best way possible. Alive and OK. Now its a matter to take care. As always wish you the well.........

wow dude... i haven't been on in a while and i get on a see this... glad you're ok todd and rest easy and be thankful... a full size something is in the works i'm sure...

Your such a show off (J/K) :-B

Todd, I'm glad you made it thru that one virtually unscaved. Looks like someone may be wanting to keep you around for a greater purpose :-?
