alternative to 303 Aerospace Protectant

Where are you located? Maybe someone in your area can point you to a place that sells it.

I personally have used 303 for 20 years or so, it is a great product and has many uses. It is a fair cost and a bottle lasts a long time, so very cost effective. I mainly just use the 303 for weatherstrip now.

On wheels I prefer something like PoorBoys Bold and Bright and on trim PB's Trim Restore. CG Extreme Gel is great for dryer areas or if you like more gloss.

I"ll throw Optimum Protectorant Plus into the mix. Great product and can be used on both leather and vinyl.

Just used this on my entire interior in the S2k this past weekend....great stuff and I love the leather scent!

If I understand your post correctly you are looking for something over the counter that is similar to 303 protectant?

If that is correct, Surf City Dash Away is your best bet.... VERY similar to 303 (a bit less sheen) and can be purchased at Pep Boys.

VINYLEX is a patented liquid vinyl protectant intended for use in the care and conservation of vinyl, rubber and plastic. Its purpose is to clean, protect, renew, preserve and improve the appearance of the polymer surface being treated. VINYLEX is a new, state of the art, protectant including DH60 UV sunscreen Traditional vinyl protectants have hovered around the first patented vinyl product, trying to copy it while staying away from possible infringement on its formula. As a result, the market is full of poor imitations of a product created 20 years ago. These protectants do not penetrate to clean, preserve or protect as VINYLEX does.

no, copied from their web site !

I use 303 and have for years. I tried the Vinylex when I ran out of 303 and

found it a good substitute in a pinch. Lexol make good stuff for something that can be obtained a most good auto parts stores

I really like optimum protectant plus. Does 303 have more sheen than OPP? Just curious. I prefer a low sheen on the interior.

They seem pretty close to me, both have a very matte finish. In fact, a co-worker thought my dash/seats had no dressing on them when looking at the car the day after I used Optimum.

I'd have to use them side by side to potentially notice a difference. I just love the scent Optimum gives compared to 303.

I wish 303 would come out with a gel. The liquid is too messy for exterior rubber.
