How do you store and transport all your products?



I bought these plastic bins but as I accumulated more and more stuff, it turned into this!

Okay I was going to suggest shelves for a trailer but you cant really put shelf in your trunk haha I would buy 2 large containers that will fit in the trunk of your car, separate your chemicals and equipment into two different categories interior and exterior and mark this on your containers so you don't get them confused. If you wanted to be even more organized you could put all your smaller stuff in Ziploc bags or small container that will fit in your bigger container. Just a idea haha:idea
 
I use old milk crates for spray bottles. You can get 11 in onc crate. I carry my micro fibers and terry cloth towels in plastic containers like you show in your pick.
 
Like with any kind of organization, some aptitude and discipline is required. To be efficient, you have to (and have to want to) organize your supplies and have the discipline to put them away (and in the same place) after you use them. The biggest problem people have with finding things (be it detailing supplies, keys, anything) is not having a place for it and then putting it back in that same place when you are done. As the saying goes "a place for everything, and everything in its place".

Everything WAS organized very nicely when I was just doing things for myself. Now that I'm detailing for other people, I've purchased more products so my existing solution is no longer viable.



I like the "milk crate" idea... are these readily available at WalMart / Target?



And yes, organization is key. My towels etc are all organized nicely based on when they come into play... makes the job much easier / quicker.
 
I think Eyezach's suggestion is your best bet. I would got to Walmart or Target and pick up about a dozen 8 ounce bottles and use those to carry your supplies in. So long as you are not doing more than 3 cars a day, I would think 8 ounces is plenty for most of your products.

I couldn't aggree more. I do this with everything. I always put everything in the same place and if from time to time I can't find my cell phone or wallet when I'm leaving the house it's because I already put them in my pockets.lol:wall

Hehe, thanks. Joanne's has these 6oz bottles. They're $1.99 for the pack. I put everything in these along with small spray bottles or spritzers :)

Probably similar to Michaels, another arts / crafts store.

Wow--I should pick up a few of those bottles. I was wondering where everyone got theirs.



As for storage, I have a Rubbermaid tub, an Ikea storage bin and a small Sher-wood hockey bag for some misc cloths and my QD/tire wipes, etc...



Cloths/MF's go in a bag.
 
^ Haha it doesn't look organized but it is... :D



The letters on the top of the bottles help when I need to grab something.
 
I still say that the old milk crates will work better for you. All the different size bottles and containers you have,you can get quite a few in one. I do not care for the smaller bottles. Just a personal preference.
