All Time Favorite Movie

Seeing as it was veterans day yesterday, my favorite military themed movies:

Mr. Roberts
Saving Private Ryan
Das Boot
Band of Brothers
Forest Gump
Stripes
The Patriot
Sergeant York
Platoon
In Harm's Way

Difficult to narrow down to just one. My favourites:

Rudy
Shawshank Redemption
The Green Mile

and one all married couples should see at least once

The Story of Us

Another that I have recently grown to like is Basic Instinct. Sharon Stone is simply gorgeous, this is probably one of the dirtiest/sexiest movies I have seen.

Oh, I loved Mr. Roberts! I grew up watching all of those movies, as a good Navy brat should. I need to see Das Boot. I love submarine movies. I don't think I could handle Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan and the like, especially since by brother went into the infantry.

My favorite is the very first one I saw in the theaters. JAWS. The movie scared my cousin so bad, it made him sick for a week!
For me, it just gave me a lifelong interest and love of sharks.

Another fav of mine....

So far, this weekend has been great for car fanatics.

TCM just showed "Thunder Road" this afternoon. It's a great 1950's movie starring Robert Mitchum as a moonshine runner challenging the ATF and organized crime in the moonshine mountains of Tennessee. Great car chase scenes with a 1950 Ford, 1957 Fairlane, and several 1957 Chevy sedans used by the police and feds.

Last night, both "Ronin" and "Mad Max" were on. Neither are very good on TV; Ronin is especially bad in the made for TV format, but it's rare when two great car movies are on during the same month, let alone same evening.

Now, if they will just show "Bullitt", "Two Lane Blacktop", and "Vanishing Point", I'll have my car movie fix for the month.

HEAT, Dinero & Pacino can't be beat!!!!

This is probably my second favorite movie after Casino. Truly one of the best crime dramas of all time.

I love Ronin, can't beat E34 M5s, S8s and old Mercedes' tearing up the streets of France! Some of the best car chases ever are in this film.
