AIO question

I love AIO. Just a few questions: Would it be safe for my clearcoat to apply AIO(by hand) and then a Wax every six weeks? Or is AIO to abrasive for such regular use. My understanding is it uses mostly chemical cleaners.

Also how long does AIO protect? 2 months? If i follow it with a wax will it extend the protection time? I'm looking for protection to last about 8 weeks.

AIO doesn't have any physical abrasives that will hurt your paint. If you want protection that lasts 8 weeks, then you need to use a real sealant. AIO is great at cleaning the paint, but the real protection and durability comes from the second part of the system which is the Sealant Glaze. That product will last you 8 weeks and beyond. You will most likely see 10 to 12 weeks of protection out of the SG layer. Use AIO anytime you want to clean the paint or strip layers of wax and selants off. Its not something you should have to use very often.

Let me just add it is great on wheels too. Apply the aio, get about 2-3 coats of the sealant on the wheels, and it will help keep the brake dust from sticking too hard. Usually comes off very easy with car shampoo and a soft wash mitt.

Use the Klasse twins AIO and Sealant that should give you the protection that you are looking for

Using it on wheels is a great idea. I put it on my wheels in the winter. It helps keep them clean and protected from the salt and crap that they put on the roads out here.

Since I started using AIO on my wheels I have been able to clean them with just regular car wash soap and a wash mitt. No scrubbing, no extra chemicals. Works great.

Do you just use the AIO on them? I've noticed that they stay cleaner longer with just AIO as well. SG lasts even longer though. It may be a pain in the butt to put on, but the pay off is worth it. At least it is for me in the city of endless Salt.

Yes, just the AIO on the wheels. I really have no idea as to how long it lasts, but I only use the AIO on the wheels about every three months. That's usually the time span for doing the AIO/UPP or NXT process on the entire vehicle and that's when the wheels get their AIO. The paint will gets UPP or NXT about once a month, but not the wheels.
Both vehicles that get AIO on the wheels are Pontiacs with factory aluminum wheels. The van has silver paint on the aluminum and I'm pretty sure they are clearcoated as well. The car has the factory High Polished aluminum wheels that are clearcoated.
I know that several people don't feel that AIO offers much in the way of protection, but it sure seems to work great on the wheels. :dunno

I use UPP on top of the AIO on my wheels for all the reasons mentioned.
I also use Spray and Wipe to clean them whenever possible ... it seems to help the UPP last longer.
Since using a sealanty on my wheels, I haven't had to use any strong cleaners on them at all.
