I tried it after hearing people rave about it and I've noticed that the wipers dont move smoothly over the windows now; on the down stroke its like its trying to go over glue, just CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG CHUG. Anyone else had this problem?

I didn't have the problem you described, but I did NOT like AIO on my winshield. In fact, I don't recommend anything but a good cleaner be used on the winshield.

ive used a smaple of AIO given to me on my windscreen, i didnt have the problems you describe though.

water just flys off

That was my experience with it. Couldn't get it off fast enough. You were driving completely blind at night with the wipers on. Truly horrible.

I clay my windshield and then I use both the AIO and the SG on my windshield. I love it and my wife hates it. I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. However, I have tried it on 4 different cars and none of them has had wiper chatter from its use. Maybe the clay?

I forgot to mention that clay + a good cleaner is all I use on my winshield. I've tried applying AIO via hand and PC, both produced wiper chatter and left streaks in the glass that showed up when driving directly into the sun @ dusk. YMMV...

wow, excellent example of how much your own mileage may vary....

I've used AIO on my windshield for several years now, and love it. Water flies off like it does with Rain-X or similar products, only faster. I just take the foam applicator used after doing the car with AIO and go over the windows, wiping as I go (I don't add any extra product to the pad, maybe that's the difference?).

Anyway, based on the responses, you almost certainly should try this in a non-critical area (maybe on the passenger side) if you decide you want to try it.

Good detailing,

Andrew

I think it also depends on the type/condition of your wipers.

I haven’t experienced any trouble with AIO or VM as long as the blades are in good condition.

Finish Kare 425 is my new "glass dressing". Actually I just take the towel right from the paint to the glass. Looks fantastic. And dust rolls right off the super slippppery surface.

I was an AIO user on glass..then I discovered FK 425. Thats the only thing I use on outside glass now.

I have tried AIO and didn't have the problems you reported, but I didn't like it none the less. It's better than nothing, but I prefer VM or Rain X.
