AIO + EX-P+ = EXtra Wet with EXtra Color Depth

NavindraLR stopped over today to exchange some products with me and to watch me work the rotary over the vertical surfaces. He only lives about 10 mins away so no big drive :). I'd hope to do my mom's new Silverado, but I have extra plans for it, so not enough time.

Not the best conditions today (High 30's, cloudy, and a bit damp), but I made due.

Final processes
-Mother's Gold Wash
-A2Z on Wheels, Tires, and Weels (First time using and I like it A LOT)
----clayed 1 month ago, so no need----
-AIO via rotary and LC polishing pad @ 1500rpm
-EX-P+

-WG Tire Gel

Final Thoughts
I had #80/EX-P applied on here about a month ago. The shine, slickness when washing/drying, and beading were all pretty much there. It had been washed 2 times since then through the automatic car wash :( ...My dad is lazy when I'm not around. It had swirling and AIO only took out a little bit of it. No biggie, because it will be driven through the automatic all winter.

For the AIO, I felt it left excellent clarity. Navindra and I compared the Klasse AIO writing from the bottle on 2 doors (AIO vs. #80/EX-P). After that, I applied EX-P+ by hand with a foam applicator. This stuff spread forever! I don't think there is a measurable difference in the sample bottle I recieved because I used soo little. I noticed a slight darkening in the color, but it really brought out the deeper red and metallic flakes, as Navindra pointed out quickly as I flipped on the exterior light from my house (all pics from this came out blurry :(). The wetness had also increased a lot. I let the EX-P+ dry for 10 mins BTW, and it came off with ZERO effort. So far, this product is a PLUS ;) over the regular EX-P. I noticed no problems with it's thickness as it applies like butter over a hot pan :)

Clouds today, snow tomorrow, and clouds Wednesday so I said screw it and grabbed pics today anyways. When it gets nicer again, I will go for EX-P+ x 2 to insure maximum durability for the winter.

Your findings confirm mine too. :) Nice review. I hope this EX-P+ makes the product line next year. I luv it on my big red truck! :)

Nice job Sean...wish you were my son!!
The Poorboys stuff is pretty amazing. I hit the Mach with another coat of the EX you gave me then took it out for a run to charge the battery. I had someone stop me on the road to ask me what I use on the paint. I just told him "Detailing by Executive...."

Is that Dad's Cobra I see back there? I'd love to see a pic if you have one.

In case I don't get to talk to you, I hope you and the family have a great holiday!

Thanks everyone :)

Craig: Thanks for dropping my name...How did they ever catch you :rofl

I really have no good shots of it. I haven't been able to coordinate a nice day and a good QD/Detail for it. He also has a speedster cover for it. Looks like the Batman Mobile then :)

It looks great Sean! I really liked EX-P+...it really brings out the flake and is very reflective.

I hope it hits the market soon!!!! Hint Steve!

I'm rationing my sample just in case...although I'll switch over to VM + Signature sometime in the Spring....if I can leave it alone that long. I'm still planning to strip everything & do VM + EX-P+ in the next few weeks.

I was slowing down to fill the tank before I brought her back to the garage :angel

Dad's ride looks sweet. I always loved the stance of the Cobra, looks like it's ready to strike. Is he still happy about the Potenza's? I'm thinking about treating myself to a set when the spring comes.

mtodde: I agree. I think AIO/EX-P+/Signature will be the ultimate combo for metallics.

Craig: He likes them a lot. Superb dry traction, but forget about it in the rain in snow. For a car like yours or his, they are perfect.

Nice work Sean, if you lived a little closer to me i would like to have "shadow" you. The PT looks incredible, I can't wait to use some EX-P+ on my cars. Not to critique you or start a huge debate, but don't you think something like PP or FP would have been a better prep than AIO? I always read how AIO is a great base, but I would think its small amount of protection would interfere with the bonding of EX-P+ to directly the paint. I'm sure its a better prep than VM, but I would have though something like PP or FP(no wax) would have been better. Regardless awesome work on the PT, keep us posted on the durability, you picked a great time to use it with this bitter northeastern weather and snow.

Jackal: Thanks.

I have had excellent results with SG over AIO (6-8 months durability), so I knew EX-P+ would bond just fine, but yes I understand where you are coming from.

I actually usually do FP before my sealants for customers, just futsing around a lil :)

BTW: The PT is a nice shade of gray after our crummy snow that fell mixed with the salt chemicals :(
