AIO by PC.

I have only applied AIO using my PC and it works great. I start at about speed #3 and toggle back & forth between speed #4 depending on what part of the car I'm doing and what angle Im holding the PC at.



I then use a terry cloth bonnet to remove the product and boy does that bring out a deep gloss look. Finally i give it the once over by hand with a terry towel and I'm now ready for my wax.
 
I've tried applying by machine, but not a PC. I used my 4" Wen polisher, with a polishing pad. I was able to control the amount of product I used, and things seem to go smoothly. Easy to apply, and removal was easy as well. I like to conserve my stash of SG, and using a PC to apply seems wasteful to me. I'm sure someone is doing it here, though.

So, is the consensus that one should apply AIO with a finish type of pad? the last time I did it, I used the blue pad (SONUS DAS pads). Would there be any advantage to using the green pad (light polishing pad)?
 
yesterday i applied it by hand. it went on very easily and surprising to me it came off even easier. my previous car the 2002 civic it was a real PITA to remove so i stopped using it. I think if i used the pc i could get a move even coat.

I used the blue finishing pad yesterday. it even took off the residue from white plastic that the car makers put on cars while they sit on the lot. very impressed with the pads. But then again i dont have much to compare it too since it is my first time using the PC.

I've applied it with the blue sonus pad and the speed on 3 so it didn't dry too quickly. I applied thinly and didn't let it dry. It came off very easily with a MF. Coverage was much more uniform than when I've done it by hand and, of course.

Why wouldn't you? I applied AIO with a blue pad and did my entire car, windows and all. I havn't had a problem with visibility or streaking or anything. It makes a great water repellant for me personally.
