AIO Alternatives- Best Cleaning Ability?

Really good deal at that price. Complete sleeper of a product.

What would you guys use the LHPW on? Just something that you wanted to one step or could you follow with a carnuba after?

Wow, prices have plummeted. Does that mean they're getting ready to pull the plug on Long Haul? Will my single bottle shoot up in value overnight because of this :rofl

The bottles at Strauss Auto weren't marked as discounted on the shelf. When you took it to the register they rung up at a discounted price. The same was true for the Mothers products (Tire Shine, Reflections Leather, Syn Wax, etc).

how would gepc compare to aio in cleaning power?

Short answer: it doesn't compare at all. AIO cleans much better.

As Spilchy pointed out, I sorta answered my own question; I've decided to just get more AIO since I want something that's just like it. Gonna stick with the not broke/don't fix approach that I recommend to others.

I do again want to thank everybody who offered suggestions. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody else tries some of the products mentioned as a result of this thread.

Oh, and none of the autoparts stores in my area handle Long Haul.

Nobody mentioned anything from Pro, which *is* available at my local autobody/paint supply place...

That's retarded. I went to my (Spilchy's) Strauss, and I didn't see any sale markings, so I didn't buy anything. If they want to move the stuff by selling it at a reduced price, they should tell someone! If you picked it off the shelf to buy it at the regular price marked, then they (Strauss) are idiots for cutting you a huge break at the register when you expected to pay full price. Double-secret probation may have worked for Dean Wormer, but I don't see how secret sale prices work for a retailer.

That is what makes Accumulator a good man to take recommendations from...he follows his own advice. :2thumbs:

:nixweiss I wouldn't be suprised, I think they have some great products but the presentation is horrible.

In my Pep Boys, they have their own shelving in clear view. It's currently $5.99 for the Polish.

In the other store (local place where Pat and Setec go), it's on the shelves right next to Meguiars, Mothers, etc... The Polish is $4 (or was it $6?), the QD is $3, the Degreaser is $3 and the car wash soap is $2.

At that price, I was tempted, but really don't need it.

If you really like it, use the product a lot, and think the price is right, I'll be happy to pick up as many bottles as you want and ship them the cheapest way to you.

Accumulator, do you use SRP by hand or machine. I find it works very well with my PC in a way that I cannot achieve by hand.

pro gold and #1 polish by PRO are two of my all in one favorites i use them on my wifes envoy and they do a great job considering that they are only around seven dollars for 16oz

Poorboy's Pro Polish is a great chemical cleaner.

Some other's i liked using were Finish Kare's #215 which is an AIO cleaner polish protectant, AutoMagic GS-1 / BC-1 which clean real well also and very easy to use

I use it by Cyclo most of the time, occasionally by PC, only by hand in the spots on the XJS that I can't reach by machine. If I'd use more aggressive pads/technique I'd probably get more cleaning/light correction out of it, but these days I usually only use SRP on the Jag and I employ other products for those jobs.

The cleaning comparo was done by hand and PC, using the roof of the MPV and the back sides of some wheels for test surfaces. AIO was the clear winner.
