AG Caught RUPES?!?!

Wow! RUPES is now in the PBMG warehouse and hopefully soon on their way to ACC. Believe it or not, I have tried very hard to tamp down my praise for these machines here. I am nothing but stunned by the results I get every time I use one. Smooth, incredible cutting and finishing - they have it all.

As Ferris Bueller famously said, "If you have the means, I highly recommend one." ;)

Mike, I think you need to send me one of your Rupes for me to try.... Think of it as a tool loan program. Only problem is you may not get it back.... :rofl

I know this has nothing to do with your thread, but Mike your avatar slightly scares me. No smiley face is ever that happy... Ever!

Even if he does have a rupes and I don't :/

I saw Mike post this on FB, I was like "NO WAY!". Sure enough it was true, I began to cry knowing I wont be able to purchase one any time in the near future. Maybe some rich client would offer to buy me it for free detailing for a year..... The price is pretty dang good too, I could have sworn I saw it on some site for about $700. Anyone wanna trade your RUPES for my GRIOT'S :)

I am so trying to resist from getting one 15ES. Just a hypothetical question though what pads do you use with the rupes??

Several pads work well with it. However, IMO if you want the best correction and the ultimate experience using the machine (least amount of vibration, smoothness) get the RUPES pads. They are amazing.

So far, I have used LC CCS, CG Hexlogic and LC Ultrafiber pads with my Rupes. All have worked better than ever.

We are becoming golfers...

You know the type. I just know that new driver, iron, putter, ball, whatever… will be so much better than the one that I have now. I will score so much better.

Never mind the fact that the equipment I have now (so obviously inferior) WAS, just a short time ago, the latest, greatest, best that's ever been.

I agree with you... for the most part.

When the new Griot's Garage came out, it didn't make nearly as big a splash as this Rupes.

Part of the reason this is making such a commotion is it is so fundamentally different with a 21 mm stroke and not having to lean very much against the polisher to correct. That's definitely a new one!
