After one day...

Alright guys...after almost one day of work, here's a pic of my car. This was taken after one coat of SG. I can't take anymore pics after that because the camara battery died. So here it is...

That white thing on the hood is a piece of dead grass  but it's ok. I didn't notice it until I took the picture but I blew it away afterwards.

wow.... i did my mom's 2000 edie bauer explorer (puter color) with BF and it didn't look nearly that good when i was done. That's a really nice color... you should fix that camera and get some more pics!

Very nice...I just got my shipment of Klasse AIO and SG on tuesday and I can't wait to try it out on the weekend!

Kaiz...thanks for the compliment. You'll love Klasse. That's only one coat of SG. I layered another coat on it last night and today, I'll layer one last coat. It's gonna be awesome!!

DCopp, hahaha...I guess you can say bling bling but they're factory rims. They're nothing significant. Haha...there're too many Eddie Bauers in my town so they don't stand out as much.

the wheels...BLING BLING!

Remember guys: It don't mean a thing if it don't bling bling! :D

Nice Explorer. My neighbor had a white 1997 Ford Explorer with the V8. Nice throaty growl. I detailed it last summer. NEVER WAXED ONCE although he did wash it. He parked under a tree and the bark/sap (still not quite sure what it was) burrowed itself into the paint. Washing wouldn't get it off, wax wouldn't take it up. Even a high speed buffer wouldn't take it off! The only thing that would take it off was a clay bar going over the surface repeatidly. Came out BRAND NEW at the end and I saved him on resale when he traded it in. A lot of work though.

Good luck waxing it tomorrow. I guess you can always detail it indoors.

Anyways...today, I spent about 7 hours working on my mom's van. It's a '94 bright white Chrysler Town & Country. That thing looked filthy!! The paint was very rough and there were swirl marks all over. I used 2/3 a bottle of QD and spent about 3 hours claying the van. Then it was downhill from there. About 2 hours on AIO and then 2 coats of SG. Then dressed the tires with Black Magic tire gel. When everything was done, it looked just amazing. One of my friends dropped by and he was amazed and commented that it looked brand new, out the showroom shine. My parents looked at it too and they were totally amazed at how smooth and reflective the paint is. This is such a rewarding job. I love detailing cars!!! :D I'll have the pictures up tomorrow.

Here's the pic of the whole van. It was so hard to find a part of the van where it was reflective.

Heh...while taking the pictures, I suddenly noticed how crazy my truck's reflection was so I took a pic of it. What do you guys think??

Jim, it's the camara. I don't know why. Maybe I was taking it early in the morning, with the sun shining and a few clouds in the sky? I'm not sure. It's weird. It's been like that for a while. When I use the flash, it looked normal. Here's a pic of one with the flash on. It was taken at the same time, same morning.

Thanks Alan! It's hard work but hey, it shows.

That looks great... :)

I think the blue hue that you're getting is from your camera's metering or adjustment for florecent light...

explorer looks awesome... :)

Alright guys...finally figured it out. Seems like there's an option in the camara where you can choose if the pic is taken indoor or outdoor. Well, it was set at indoor so that's why there's a blue tint to the pictures. So I corrected this and took a picture of it so here's the pic. I'll take some more when I apply the last and final SG and topping with #26 tomorrow so I'll try to post the pics either Thursday or Friday.

The minivan surprised me more than the Ford. The van isn't knew and that model is well known to be in the "beater" condition around now considering they are a family car and receive alot of abuse.

Nice work, I like the clean red plastic too, I need to get some for my father's van, he doesn't even know how much cleaner those lights could look.

Nice work on the van. :up
