Aerosol paint on lower panel?

I've got a customer who ran over an aerosol paint can that exploded in front of him. It's down the right side of his lower panels. What do you guys suggest for removing it? I tried a little acetone w/ a plastic razor blade, but it would take all day to remove all of it. Is there any quicker/safer way? I pretty sure it oil-based paint. I'll take some pics on Saturday. Sorry for not having any now. Thanks!
 
Like Astral, I would think that one of the somewhat coarse clay bars that body shops use would work, since the aerosol paint on his car is something like overspray, which the clay bar is designed to remove. If that doesn't work, you may have to go with something like Megs medium cut compound or light cut with a cutting pad.
