I am looking for the correct equipment setup. For personal use for now. I just recently bought a new vehicle(white Pathfinder) after owning a "seen better days" used truck for the last 5 years. I have exprience using power tools for such tasks as: grinding, sanding, and building wooden projects, structures and so forth, but haven't used a machine polisher for auto applications.

I am wanting to keep this truck's appearance looking like some of the pictures I have seen across this forum. I also would like to fix some of the damage(swirl marks, light surface scratches, dullness) to my wife's Grand Am Gt(red) at the same time.

Which KB kit would be the most applicable for my needs? I appreciate any input anyone can give to me.

Also, this is one hell of a forum. Alot of unbelieve work from some very talented people.

I am a firm believer in the KB kits. I've been using the PC 7424 for about 4 years and just purchased the new 7424XP model. More power, more torque, higher OPM. An excellent machine for the hobby detailer.

M105 and M205 are the best things to hit the detailing hobby since the PC!

I feel confident to detail any car with these products.:D

If you will be doing a part time business or many cars per week, consider a Flex.

Welcome aboard to TID Jim....I think the best all around KBM Kit for your use will be the one with the Flex DA polisher with LC Pads. Here's a link to it: http://www.properautocare.com/kbmkbrmekitw3.html. This is a great machine to use and it should do alot of the task's you want to put it thru. With the M105 and M205 combo it should do the task properly and give you great results.

Thank you all for your advice. I think I am going to start off with the PC 7424XP and see how it goes. I think it will meet my needs perfectly after reading through alot of the other postings. If later I need more I will step up to the Flex.
