Advice on how to keep cats away?

Cat/dog repellent pellets -> Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

Works for a little while. Around 2-3 weeks.

I was just about to post this. I was going to try some on mine. They dont seem to go on anyone else car but mine, and mines black. Do you just put it on the car or in your area? We have a cat that we let out sometimes and I dont really wanna keep it away form the house, just my truck.

I used it along the perimeter of my old house. Not sure of the effective range.

Try sprinkling the pellets just near your truck.

At least you can run those strays and neighbors cats away.My wife has an old tom cat that in the summer time thinks my firebird convertibles black top is his lookout post to keep an eye on his domain. I think the wife would run me off before the cat.

Just remember a lot of people like cats as pets.

These people should be respectable neighbors and pet owners and keep track of their cats. I have a cat in the neighborhood that has a bell on his collar, yet he is allowed to roam free.

I posted last winter after having a huge cat problem, they like the heat thats emitted from my hoodscoop in the winter. If I catch a cat on the hood... that will be the last time anyone sees it.

My dogs dont sleep on your car

That's the way I feel, but the truth is there's a lot of idiots out there who can't even take care of themselves let alone a pet.

I'll be using the home depot crate as soon as I pick one up.

I may be wrong about this, but I am under the impression that, not only do raccoons like cat food, but cats as well.

I had the same problem. Kitty cat paw prints all up and down my hood, roof, and trunk(and my car is black), almost every morning when I leave for work :grrr - I've seen it get up there a time or two, so I know it's my neighbor's cat.

Enter (stage left) a few fairly large raccoons. The type and number of paw-prints on my car changed suddenly. Raccoons have been seen sitting atop my car, as though waiting for something (like a snack).

I know my neighbor's cat is missing cause she's been asking has anyone seen it. A few weeks after the cat disappeared, so did the raccoons.

Maybe I'm reading too much into this, but I think the raccoons were using my car as a cafeteria.

I tend to agree on that point . I saw a large Racoon Hiding by my car last week . His Belly looked pretty full and did notice a few of the usual kitty visitor no where in site since

Try sprinkleing pepper around your car. I read that cats get it on their paws and go crazy licking it off. Hey, people should not let their cats run wild if they care about them.
