HI all

I am new to forum.I have a 3 months old car, Black colour.

this is first time i would be doing car detailing ( although i did wax it once before)

I am planning to buy either of two kits

Prestige III Kit that inculdes:
P21s Bodywork Conditioning Shampoo
Klasse All-In-One
P21s Carnauaba Wax
Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray Wax

"OR"

Souveran Sizzling Shine Kit that includes:
Pinnacle Bodywork Shampoo
Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion
Pinnacle Souveran Wax
Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray Wax

I have few question:

1) which of the two is better kit. both are costing around $70
2) Do i really need to add a selant. If yes is, than is "Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze" good choice. Or an Klasse all-in-one, which is part of the first kit, more than enough.

Pls advice asap.

Either one would be fine but may need to add a Swirl remover and/or a Polish in there to get rid of swirl marks and make that black really shine. Paint cleaning clay may be needed as well depending on how much you contaiminants you got on it during the first 3 months.

Thanks for advice.

Firstly, i dont think i need clay. there is not much contamination

Secondly, there are very minor swirls. But as you said i must add remover and/or polish. My question do the klasse all in one in First KIt and Pinnacle paint cleansing lotion not make up for the said requiremnt?

Hi, welcome to the most civil forum on the net!

I would go with the first one.
-It has the versatility of AIO (Klasse all-in-one) which alone can seal many cars with good durability. Chemical cleaner (no abrasives)
-The kit also includes P21s, which you can top (add layer on top of AIO) the AIO with to add the wet look glow.
-The AIO can remove MINOR swirls and oxidation, but it is so versatile you can do your family cars with durablility, with alot to spare (1/2 to 1oz per car). Might give sterile look which some complain about, that is the P21s comes in!
-The conditioning shampoo is nice to remove oxidation and make the surface slick after claying whilst adding a glossy shine. Not sure if it contains fillers. I would definatley get a clay bar for when in a couple of months you will need it.
-Also as said above a good Swirl Remover will do your body good! You will need to decide if you want one with fillers or one without. Fillers will fill the swirls and return them in a few washes (glazes, or any meguiars polishes), something like Menzerna Final Polish II has no fillers and will eliminate swirls. (burnishes them down to lowest point of swirl.)
-This kit basically gives you alot more versatility than the second one, depending on your needs and where you want your look to be, you have more options.

P.S. did I mention investing in a PC (porter Cable random orbit polisher)!

Hope this helps, PM with any in-depth quetions

Kit 1 seems to be the most economical choice for you but Kit 2 will have the absolute best looks. As said above you may want to add a SMR to your list to have your car look its best. AIO will not remove any swirls or fill them inl it is a paint cleaner that will remove anything on the paint with the exception of contaniments.

With Kit 1 you'll probably be looking at waxing your car every two months or around there. With Kit 2 that will give better looks you'll be giving up durability to one month or so. You could add a sealant to the list and have durability up to around 4 months. So it really depends how many times you want to detail your car.

One last thing- how is your washing technique? This step may throw your time consuming detail job down the drain. Use a quality mitt and soap. Also, since your ordering pick up some high quality microfiber towels.

welcome to the city!
