Adam`s Polishes Detailing Products at Walmart?

Well, it seems Adam`s Polishes, ANOTHER higher-end detailing product company, is testing the consumer market waters at Walmart.
I thought I was seeing things, but there they are. Not a lot of the product line; just a few detailing product items and less than the Chemical Guy`s product line that is already present on the automotive detailing product shelf.

I asked a sales associate if there were plans to expand the product offerings and he stated that this was it as far as he knew and it is a Walmart marketing best-practice to see how a few items sell from a new company before expanding, which makes good business sense (remember Autoglym`s foray into Walmart. No, I do not have my AutoGlym`s High-Definition Wax that, like many of you Autopians, was purchased for $20.00 and then $15.00 when they sold the product line on clearance). I told him they are definitely higher-priced than the usual consumer-line products offered from more main-stream and well-know companies like Meguiar`s, Mothers, Turtle Wax , and Armour-All, and even Jay Leno`s line and Stoner`s , BUT more in-line with Chemical Guy`s. I also told him that Adam`s Polishes are the "official" (yes, Adam`s paid for that endorsement privilege) detailing products for Camaro and Corvettes, and something should be noted on their shelf of that. After all, it is good advertising that Adam`s paid for. I am sure some Corvette and Camaro owners may already know that .

We will see how it goes. So, if you go to the ubiquitous Walmart in your area, check out the automotive car-care product section and see if they are present there on the shelf and let us Autopians know.
Will I buy them?? Not now, at least for me, BUT I do like the option of being able to buy reputable car-care products locally over-the-counter (OTC) as needed.

Will we see 3-D`s GLW line of car-care products on the shelf at Walmart next?? Probably not, since Adam`s is already there, but I am surmising this assessment without knowing 3-D`s marketing strategies or if they have any agreements in place with Walmart.

Well on the price of Adam`s products, I did check the Adam`s website and the Graphene Liquid Wax is on a special sale for $27.99 (Normally it is $32.99) compared to Walmart`s $31.99 retail shelf price, so I guess it is in line.

I know many of you Autopian`s use and like Adam`s, so I could ask if YOU would buy their products at Walmart??
Then again if you are a professional detailer with an account with Adam`s, you probably get a discount on volume purchases made factory/manufacturer direct from the website, plus I doubt seriously that Walmart will start selling gallon jugs of Adam`s products. But you know, this brick-and-mortar mega-store retail move by Adam`s might give it some product exposure to a whole new group of customers who simply do not know about this manufacturer of detailing car-care products.
(OK, "company!"; they really do not "manufacture" their own products... Ah, the controversial Captain Obvious. The never-ending Werner Chemical Company relabeled products discussion).

Setec:
Was you coffee too hot that you spit it out? Yes, Chemical Guy`s prices are at a "premium" at Walmart, but they must be doing OK.
I did buy some CG Citrus Wash-n-Gloss car-wash soap on clearance this winter at the local Walmart for $8.00 (old stock, and a bargain for my cheap Captain Obvious detailing budget) instead of the retail shelf price of $11.99. Good soap for what it does, but at $12.00 for 16 ounces of car-wash soap.... well yes, I can see WHY you spit out your coffee.

Up here Adams has been on the shelves of brick and mortar chain for a couple years now.. Canadian Tire stores. They even offer sales now and then. Not a large amount of the lineup, but I am sure Adam`s negotiated to have the ones they thought would sell best.

At my WM stores it just regular Adams stuff not the Graphene stuff. I guess Meguiars own Chemical Guys now so that would explain the push into WM stores.

The detailing section in Walmart has really expanded with a lot of new brands. Mothers is getting less shelf space.

I guess I was wrong. WM has the Graphene wax and Graphene detailer none of the rest of the Graphene line.

Back to the original topic.

I haven`t been in a WalMart for quite a while, but will have to take a look. My area is a little strange, many times our big box stores and parts stores carry far fewer products, and have fewer brand choices than stores just 20 minutes across a state line. We`re in a retail black hole of sorts.

If they do carry Adams, and there is something I need/want, I`d buy it there. I have no preference on where I buy something.

One thing I`ve noticed is more detailing products popping up all over. While our Walmarts really only sell Meguiars and Chemical Guys products, with a few Jay Lenno`s garage items thrown in, the selection of stuff like foam cannons, towels, applicators, and even no-name brand DA polishers has really grown. My local farm/tractor store has even created an isle in the last couple of months for detailing products. Most of it is either no-name branded stuff or really low end stuff, they do actually stock a couple Griots G9`s and have a pretty decent selection of applicators and brushes.
