Acrylic Werks and the challenge

I just think Akrylik sucks.



My opinion ...... like I'm not Zainos #1 fan.

But then Sal doesnt pretend Zaino can remove swirls or fix oxidation.

I respect him and his product, its the fanatics that ram the product down my throat that annoy me.



So how did the Uber-Polish perform ?



It took well over an hour to do a small part of a hood when its supposed to fix swirls, polish/shine/leap tall buildings in a single bound.



I've yet to see ANY proof of this.



Anthony stuck to the test.

His half of the hood was de-oxidised nicely, and as he says not even polished or topped.



The Akrylic half actually added scratches onto the oxidised finish.



Gonzales here figures that hes been busted and goes off and starts polishing wiper arms and bits of window trim.



THAT WASNT THE TEST

Now we hear 'Akrylik only works on new vehicles'



Ok .. whats next ?

I fail to see how attacking me personally actually improves the reputation of your product, but feel free to continue.

I try to stick to the facts when I argue, so please at least disprove my factual comments before you start being derogative about my 'lack of intellignece' or 'wiener size'.

Believe me I've seen virtually every angle of attack on a forum and you aint even getting close.

OK, this guy came on another board I frequent trying to sell his stuff, and was pretty much flamed out.



However, I am impressed with what he has done here. He stood up to the challenge. Maybe his product isn't the best product around, and certainly not a miracle prodcut, but it is probably a decent product. A one step finish improver. There are lots of them around (look at NuFinish, for example). For the average guy, with an average finish, I'm sure Acrylic werks will do the job.



Will it stand up to Autopian standards? Maybe, maybe not.



The only way to find out is by testing. Mark, if you wan't to appease some on the board, like Smoker, and others, my suggestion is to send a free trial size sample to them. I think many autopians will try almost anything, and if it is truly a great product, word will get out, and people will start buying it. A few sample sized bottles surely can't cost that much, and may be good advertising.



The risk, of course, is that if it is not a superior product, it will be posted as well. However, judging by Anthony's challenge, it appears that it is at least a decent polish. So, even if an autopian doesn't use it, he may have a neighbor who is interested in keeping his car decent, but not show-quality, and will recommend your product to said neighbor.

a sample sounds good or even a trial price for a sample, something like $5 including shipping and handling. If this product became a household name here on this board that could bring in quite a few bucks a year.
 
Thinking about Nufinish- I think if you search the archives here, you will see that generally, there are positive opinions on Nufinish. It will clean up an oxidized car, make it look decent. It's downsides, however: It smells like crap, stains trim, and it probably doesn't really last a year.



Now, if you can market Acryllic werks to that- I.e, works just as well, if not better, but smells better, doesn't stain trim, and lasts longer- Then, IMHO, you've got a winner.

That was very juvenile of you. It's a good thing you have your own business, because at work I would be fired for treating a prospected customer like that. And I'm only 16 and work at subway, jeeze. Granted you were egged on, but this isn't standard business practice when you're trying to sell your product to members of an online message board. :sosad
 
To All,



First, your all correct. I shouldn't let Smoker bother me, but what gets me is his personal opinions being handed out as if he has had some personal experience with the Acrylic-Werks Polish. Now, the facts on the demo truck. The area we demo'd was really a screwed up re-paint and I mentioned this in my post. Due to this, correcting the paint first was not a bad thing. Second, I did mention that I also did some oxidized paint, that was the original paint and those areas came up beautifully and fast, and I would be willing to bet, that even 4 weeks from the demo day those other demo areas will still look great. I also did some trim and rubber while I was at it and those to came out very nice. The e-mail received from my customer is very real, anyone wishing to e-mail him should. I will also post some photos of my 2000 Ford Taurus so you can see what it looks like almost 3 years later.

Unless you haven't polished or waxed it in 3 years, the 3 years doesn't mean much. I commend you for the pride you have in your product. Try not to let some get you down, many people with great products were all ridiculed at once.
 
Hello folks,



Wow alot has been going on since my last post! I have been out a few days because a nut case with nothing better to do than develop Trojan viruses has caused me to erase my whole freakin hard drive and start over. It shut down my CD-RW and my "A" drive so I could not download files. The only thing I could do was transfer my important files through my network to our other computer and even then I had to be selective.



I run Nortons anti-virus but my subscription was like 180 days out-dated, that'll teach me!!



I lost alot of pictures plus had to get all new credit cards, notify my bank...yadda yadda yaddda. I will post better pictures plus polish and seal my side of the hood as soon as all of my computer problems are cleared up. We will then move on to the "swirl" test.
