I have my windows tinted limo black and you can see alot of acid etching. Well let me say that it looks like acid etching like on paint. I have tried clay bar, soap and light scrubbing i even tried SSR 1 and still nothing. Does anybody know any way to get it off? Still a little new at this stuff. Sorry if this has been asked before.

Yea....Sorry for not making that clear

I've had luck with Bug Squash (full strength) and Pro Polish ... I know some people use some stuff called Bar Keeper's Friend, but be careful about getting it on anything but glass (rubber, plastic, etc )

The pro-polish was going to be my suggestion...but is this water spots that you are talking about?

Once you've tinted the windows those can be seen real easy...thanks

Yea its either water spots or acid etching. Not real sure which one but they are all over and i cant get rid of them. Never noticed them till i got them tinted and now its stick out really bad.

I suspected that's what you where talking about...as Steve said his pro-polish or you can get a paint cleaner OTC..those are chemical based polish and will dissolve the water spots....there is also a company that I use for real hard water spots...I've used their paste for windows and it works wonders...mainly I use this while I am washing the car...do the windows then wipe off and wash the window to clean everything off...good source for water spot products

Sounds good there is a place right down the road that has it in stock. I am going to try it and see how it does. Thanks fellas for the info. Hope it works.

Have you tryed 0000 steel wool. Seems to me to take just about anything off a window. (EXTERIOR USE ONLY-NEVER ON THE INSIDE)
