Abrasive level of PI III compared to Menzerna IP

Would anyone know which one is more abrasive - Menzerna Intensive Polish or 3M PI III. I'm looking to get a product to remove swirls without fillers. I tried the Menzerna Final Polish and that did not cut it.

hmm...maybe I was misinformed but David B. said it would take out minor swirls. I have minor scratch marks also and the FP didn't make a dent in them

I tried PI III NG today. I too wanted to remove swirls wit no fillers. These are my observations:

I USED MG WITH A YELLOW PAD.

PI III MG was not quite strong enough to remove my moderate swils. To make matters worse, my yellow pad flew off the pc and got crud all over it. I had to complete the job with a white pad. I used some PI III rubbing compound to get the heavier swirls. I plan to buff out the haze tomorrow with the MG, then do my Zaino thing.

I really like the MG. It goes on like soft butter, removes very easy and leaves a great shine. Also it should be ideal for Zaino as it does not contain fillers, like SMR.

The compound also was very easy to apply. It leaves a squeaky clean surface. If not for a slight haze I'd go right over it with Z2. My bigggest problem is the PC. It simply is not strong enough for compound work.I really had to lay on it to get the compound to do it's job. I'll move up to a rotory soon. Any suggestions?

Hope this helps;

I like the PI III MG and have had good luck using it with a wool pad and the CMA yellow pad, the remaining residue does come off very easily and a nice gloss is left behind, I haven't had any hazing problems with it. I'd say the PI is right on par with the Menzerna IP in terms of it's ability to remove a certain level of defect as well as having no fillers, I like them both. I also got good results with the Menzerna FP for removing minor to maybe slightly less than medium or "slightly" swirled using the Meguiars maroon soft buff foam cutting pad #w7006.
