The man is awesome. When I bought the 2k system for my PC I bought 2 adapters just in case like he told me to. Well after a while of working with the pads I had the same problem with my adapter as some of you others have had. I spoke with him and he said to send it back and another one would be shipped. Well heres where I become the jacka$$. I didn't have anything to put the adapter in so I put it in an envelope hoping it would make the trip okay......it didn't. They had sent me back a ups box with a letter saying they received an empty envelope. CRAP! well I just got off of MSN messenger with Aaron and he told me to send him my address and he would send one out. Now not everyone is going to get a new one if they rip an envelope and send it to him. I spoke with him and he knew it was coming. So Aaron and Bob @ Danase(I bought the edge2k system from them, and lots of other things) have the BEST C.S. I have seen so far.



P.S. Aaron and I also talked about the Shmitt and I told him I just received mine from Bob and think it is amazing. I have the one with the white foam, and yellow on top. I was able to throw out a lambs wool mitt, and demote one down to wheels. I won't ever use another mitt other than a shmitt on a vehicle. I'm not trying to sell you on this, everyone who has one loves it the others who dont have one are scared of it. Don't be, I have a client who is extremely picky and she hates swirls. When she saw me using the shmitt on her black escalade she was out there examining the surface once she saw no marring or swirls she smiled and walked back inside. Anyway, now that I sound like a salesman I will let you all go. Just wanted to let people know(the ones that dont already know) that Aaron is a top notch guy and Bob is another.
 
Good deal. I've heard good things about the Shmitt. Considering buying a couple myself.

Aaron is top notch when it comes to CS! All our issues were addressed very quickly and to our satisfaction.



MobileJay- We also have the white/yellow combo and love it. I can also give a :bigups to the black wheel Schmitt. Although the texture is somewhat course with large open pores, I was worried about using it on my chrome rims. Well I can say I've had no issues with marring with the black Schmitt. May want to considering picking one up.

Wetwerks I will probably pick one of those up in a few weeks. I wanted to test out the regular one first, and now that I'm pleased with it I'll get the wheel schmitt
 
I couldnt send mine back. It got accidently tossed by my fiance :wall

He still sent me 2 new adapters, i did/do have pics of the adapter that failed on me though, so i do have proof that it failed.



I wont be using the edge2K system on my PC anymore, its not a good combo.
 
What is the problem with the edge 2k adapters I was going to order the pads for my rotary and pc.

I have had the Yellow and Blue pad with the OLD adapter from Edge for 2 years. He gave me those to do a review on and give people some insight and my opinion on them. That is when I knew basically nothing about "Real Detailing" and they are still working perfectly. No problems at all. I think the edge system is a good system over all.



Sad to see that one guy, can't remember if it was on autopia or another forum, anywho, the adapter actually cut the pad or something and caused damage. Maybe too much pressure? Other than that being my ONLY concern about the system it is a great product and I'm more than positive he would take care of any issue.

yeah I've been looking on autogeek. What size pads are you guys using on pc/rotary?
 
Yup Aaron is a cool guy. I emailed once about the schmitt mitt. I told him the glue on the mitt is cracking and brittle and the foam are about to split into 2 pieces. He told me just send it back and I did. I got the mitt within few days..what a guy, I tell you.:usa
 
I am also very impressed with Edge's customer service. I told him about a problem I had with a vendor and he corrected the issue immediately. It's not as hard to spend money on something when you know that they actually care about you.
 
ya wow another plus 1 on the customer service issue!!!

IM FLOORED...I explained my situation what happened with my adaptor and the first response on aim was

"whats your address ill get one right out"



Now that is true customer service!!!

On the Porter Cable the adapter seemed to get way to hot. So hot you couldnt touch it with your finger. I got through about half my car and went to flip the pad and i could barely touch the adapter. Once i got the pad off the bearings fell out. I got 2 new adapters a week later and i was set. Well i went to use the system on my rotary while i was waiting for the new adapter to come in and the pad i had on my PC was now wobbly. The adapter melted the inside of the holder in the pad, go figure. I think heat kills this system.



I cant see this system hurting paint in anyway though. I seen the thread where someone hurt their paint job but that i just dont get, i just dont see how.



I absolutely LOVE this system on my rotary though. But the rotary dosent heat up the adapter like the PC does.
 
+1 For Aaron, answers and replies everything you have to ask. My adapter does seem to jam a tiny bit, even though I try the even removal on each side of the pad. Weird.
 
Used the edge adapter, green wool/foam combo and dual black wool for the first time this w/e. It runs super smooth with my hitachi rotary. Not sure if I like the green foam yet or maybe I am just not used to it.
 
I'm looking at getting some 8" Edge pads for my Makita. Would ya'll go with the flat or get the Wave pattern? And I'm getting wool too - can't wait, just need another detail to pay for it!
