As some may know, I'm a Soldier (a US Army Chaplain to be exact). "Car Washes" are common ways that units raise money for their family programs. However, as a detailer (even one as bad as I am) I generally cringe when I see what they do to cars. Got me thinking, wouldn't it be great to teach Soldier's how to detail and involve that in a fund raiser. Soldier's (especially young ones) tend to spend a lot of money on their cars relative to everybody else (housing and food generally taken care of ).
