A very sad day for me :(

Well, as of yesterday I'm officially M3-less. I knew this day would come eventually but I didn't realize how horrible the feeling of seeing my M drive off without me would be. It was always a dream car, and even though I've got new dream cars and plan to one day move into one of them, it's still left me a little hollow.

I'm really going to miss this car. Hell, it's been barely 24 hours and I already do.

It was a sweet ride. I have always liked the M3's. I have let vehicles go and it is tough sometimes..... But on to the future and best luck finding your next dream car!

Sorry to hear Mike, but why did it leave?

Thanks Angelo. I'd always planned on selling it eventually to make room for something else. Just didn't realize how hard it would be to let it go. I busted my a$$ for several years to buy it, so not only was it a dream car but also a sense of accomplishment.

I felt that way when my A3 drove off. :(

I can imagine. I always liked those A3's too. Almost bought one before settling on my Mazda3. I didn't like the idea of having two German cars with expensive maintenance needs. Still, every time I see a nice A3, my head swivels.

Mike,

What a beautiful E46 that was ! You had her looking just perfect !
Sorry she had to go. Hope you will be ok soon.

I know the feeling - like when my '02 Z3 MCoupe drove away to Minnesota. :(

Takes awhile, but eventually you will be ok.

I will always have a soft spot for any of the E46 vehicle line - the most classic styling that is timeless in beauty.

Thanks Doc! It will be a while, but I know the wait will be worth it.

Wow you really kept it in beautiful condition. Im sorry to hear its gone. I have let go of so many cars and bikes over the years, and almost every one of them meant something to me..even the ones I hated. Toys come and go, but the memories made with them and what they meant to you at the time is really more important than anything.

I felt that way when I had to sell my '65 Chevy. Had that car in since high school. The memories attached to it made it a tough choice to let it go. Of course the person who bought it modified it big time and ruined it.

Thanks Dan, you know the feeling as well, huh? I'll also forever love the E46, not that I dislike the E9x series even though a lot of people did.

Good points, thank you. It is just a car, but it was the first "dream car" I could actually afford.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it's best not to know what happens after it leaves your hands.

It ripped my heart out when I sold my 540 BMW. I'll get another one day.

Sorry man. I'm sure you will, though. BMW's have so much soul, I know where you're coming from.

Sorry to hear that, Mike! What's next on the horizon?

Thanks Charlie. I'm thinking maybe a Gumpert Apollo......JK. Honestly, I don't know. It will be a few years before I have to make a decision.

I know the feeling Mike it has been 6 years since I had to let go of my Stang, the pain has yet to heal lol

I would suppose that its like watching a kid grow up and move out :(

Sorry Mike but I look forward to seeing what the next dream car is!

Sorry man. I will know how it feels soon enough since I'm getting ready to sell my TA. When this body style was introduced in 98 I said I'd get one. I remember seeing a black WS6 at the car show and saying I would get one. I got it in 02 and loved it ever since

Hopefully you'll get your next dream car soon

Thanks, Sal. It'll sting a little until a replacement finds its way home to me.

Thanks Todd. I have some ideas floating in my head, but it will be a couple of years before I'm in a position for another dream car.

Mike,
I know the feeling. I cried when I left my 330xi.

Barry! Glad you're back! I remember when you let yours go, I really felt your pain. Even more now, I guess. At least it gives us a goal to work towards, right?;)

Thanks bro. Why are you selling your TA, if you don't mind me asking?

Such as sad thing Mike, sorry for your loss. :( Just hope that you don't see it after the next owner because you know the paint won't stay perfect. Here's to the next ride though!

Thanks Richard. I doubt I'll see it again. I sold it to the dealer Dave Eller (Detail Dave) rents his bays from, and Dave told me it's already sold. I think the dealer must have had a buyer lined up already.

Mike,

You took beautiful care of that BMW, the red was absolutely gorgeous. I know someone will appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into it...

There's a new one just over the horizon to fill the void....:bigups
