A true teaser......sorry Apollo of Canada

I think the guy before you left some wax...but you might have to get a magnifying glass out to check.

Okay all you voyeurs... I worked on the vehicle again I am learning so much and loving the challenge. The owner is so cool we are testing some products out on the surfaces, this has to be the largest sample sizes ever.

Here are some more photos...

The entire surface is covered in a grimy soot, and seems to have speed the oxidation of the paint. I don't know if you can see on the left the grime. I tried all types of cleaners and nothing cleaned it, so start polishing to see.

I'm only 1/4 of the way done but felt I had better get a photo op of this bad boy, encase I go postal before the end. The paint is SUPER hard, 105 and wool barely budge it, and its super oxidatated.

I hope to take more photos but it takes time and I have a ton of work to do!

This hanger is like no other, it has seating lounge areas, pool tables, dinning tables, it is a party hanger, rare art work. You take off your shoes to enter. His offices are on the upper areas. I was finishing the LSP as they were setting up for a huge party.

Cheers,
GREG

Beautiful job, Greg !!

Im going to be doing the same thing to a Cessna in a hangar sometime, and I was going to post up here and see if anyone else had airplane detaling experience..
Can I call you sometime and get some information from you about this??

Thanks

Most planes have ROCK HARD paint, do some testing starting with least agressive first. If you have not done planes before have the client give you a walk around and have him not any areas you need to keep water away, can't touch, step on, or get dirt in. Static ports, antennas, radar, altim, etc.

The plexi glass on planes: Dont get anything on them, they can haze bad.

Don't clean with just anything to rid oily/grease some items need special cleaners.....Boots, glass, tires... Find out

For your LSP.... this is still being tested. I would suggest a sealant over a wax. The UV and speeds are so high, waxes just fall apart, so do some sealants. I'm field testing some stuff from germany that airbus uses and hope to post results soon. I would use 1000p or JetSeal.

Cheers,
GREG
