A "test" picture of my car

I just got my camera back from Canon and wanted to see if it works now. It does thank god.

Car is dusty from all the work that is being done around the house but last week I played around with:

fp

zymol carbon wax.

Car isn't 100% swirl free yet. I have to have some suspension work done first before I buff it out.

Enjoy! :D

How do you like Carbon wax...I just got a used tin that was a couple years old. I think I'll just keep as a collectors item

Nice, but nothing exceptional. On a carbon black m3 I do every week the owner with ""perfect"" eyes prefers DP's Max Wax. I agree wth him.

That's the carbon? Wow that is a nice and wet looking result. Let's see the whole car, and some long range shots as well. Very nice.

Jetta or GTI/Golf?

Looks good Thomas. Perhaps we can meet sometime and you can show me how to use the rotary. I am thinking of picking one up down the road.

I am right off of 29 by 28.

thanks for the nice words everyone.

it is a 2001 Jetta vr6

Once I have all the work done on the car, I'll buff it out. Pictures to follow. :D

audicoupej - just let me know when you want to come by. Which one are you getting?

today I washed the car with ONR and applied a layer of CG's Extreme Top Coat and took some pictures to see if there was a difference between Zymol and this sealant. You decide.

You have to move the car outside (please), and let it project some long range reflections in order to get a better idea. The car is very slick, but with closer range photos, many lsp's can look alike. Is the Zymol beneath the Top Coat? How do you like the results?

In general I don't like adding other toppers (except very mild qd's) to a zymol, but not to say that won't produce a result. I'm skeptical that it may hinder your long range reflective abilities, which is a Zymol strong point. Show us more pics, and your opinion of your results.

I was just too lazy to drive outside :D

The car will be redone pretty soon so I am just playing around. Had no issue with zymol underneath it. Top coat is more slick to start out. I'll see what happens tomorrow.
