Did the sales people think you were insane?

When I get a new vehicle in about a year from now, I am planning on something very similar :).

Oh yeah, no doubt.:D I just may have created an urban legend at that dealership. Beware of the guy in the Autopia shirt.

PS21 instead.

Souveran, in lieu of P21s, is on deck.

Good job, Bill!

How well did AutoInt's New Car Prep work on the RapGard adhesive?

Thanks!

I think it made a significant impact on the ease of removing it. It sort of penetrated the Rapgard, delaminating the glue from the top through to the underside. I was able to take each piece off intact. No shredding, no bits and pieces all over. I sprayed some IPA mix while lifting it to further help along the way.

He he, well, if it were mine, I definitely would’ve left it in place until I got home. I would’ve put my foot down about that. ;) I’ll do it for sure next time up for me.

It was dried using Final Detail as a lubricant, with a Pak Shak WW MF and the new Meguiar’s WW MF, which is quite nice and comparable to the Pak Shaks but has better edging.

The next day I applied Mothers’ Clear Coat Polish topped with Collinite Fleet Wax to the wheels.

Bill, Ranney's new waffle weaves have the silk edging and are bigger than the Megs towel.

No Insulator Wax on the wheels?

Steve,

I'll have to check those out. Whoops, yes, I did mean to say IW. Thank you again for that tip :up
