A much needed bath...

Sunday it rained on my car when detailing the Ram. I rw it that night in the garage and feared it would be water spotted as it also then baked in sun.

Monday and tuesday (had another mopar in garage) it did the same thing to the slightly dirty car as i had driven it s little and it severely leopard spotted it. It baked a lot and rained more, etc. I was quite worried to be honest.

Got my garage back last night. Went out literally at the crack of dawn to tackle this nasty mess.

Cars also fog up when they leave my garage thanks to the nice ac and i actually have to do a defrost process of just opening garage a little bit to raise temp slowly, lol
First world detailing problems indeed

Yes, yes...of course it looks great ;)

What really caught my eye was the chrome gas-fill cap, which IIRC you`ve considered replacing. I *REALLY* like how it looks on your car. Just *perfect* IMO, ties in just right with the door lock cylinders and the Ram badge and SRT script. Along with the red calipers, I think the little bit of flash brightens up the overall blackness of the car.

And you were worried, that this is awesome
Thanks, im relieved...
I was worried about my black paint ever since i polished off the PBL at 366 days to add essence (didnt have it when I polished last year and felt I was robbing myself of some `base` shine). Yea I know it`s a sickness, lol

I never did a solid water spot test on my Essence topper longevity test, which ran some 200 days or so.

If I change the gas cap I will change the chrome Ram at same time.

im content with leaving them there until I go modding, then i will want a custom made emblem and have a sticker made to match the circle in middle of gas cap too

That`s down the line though...
I am looking at a 6.4 scat pack shaker in jazz blue today in austin.
Something tells me they will be having great deals soon once nobody wants them and wants the `17 T/A challengers, which im not interested in..i need all my surfaces glossy :)

Wishful thinking at least

I am glad that I am not the only one out at the crack of dawn cleaning cars :)
I was so tired from the Ram Sunday and the Challenger Mon/Tue that I went to sleep at 10 and woke up wide awake st 3am.
Once the sun came up I was outside

Looks great Brandt. I know how you feel about black cars. Nothing worse than rain followed quickly by baking sun.

Nice work Mopar King!
Haha thanks

I`d like to go with mopar magician, lol

King, nerrr...only one King lurking in these parts. And it`s not me.

But here`s the thing...nobody asked me if I was gonna stop there...because I didnt.

Those pics were at 815am. I had to wait for that sun at 6pm to hit my preferred angle on my photo spot in the driveway.

I got a throwback review coming after I have a nice little sunset joy ride.

I`m quite impressed, lol

And fell in love with an old friend all over again
