Rotary users!



I've finally decided to step up and get something with a little more 'ooomph'.



Is there much difference between the Makita and DeWalt rotaries ?



I've seen both for sale, I like and have a few Makita power tools but some folks swear by the DW.



Any hints/tips/comments more than welcome.



I'm not into buying 'cheap & cheerful' stuff but then I dont buy anything with more bells n whistles than I actually need, so dont worry about price.
 
Both are nice. Major difference you will notice is the handle's. Makita has a loop handle, DeWalt is straight handle. The loop handle is a love it or hate it type thing. Personally, I prefer the straight handle.



Also, the speed settings are different. The Makita is numbered, like 1, 2, 3, etc. The DeWalt actually has the speed written on the dial. I like the speeds written right on it, that way there is no mistake about what speed you are running. :up
 
I encourage you to look at Porter Cables Rotary. I just got it and I LOVE it. I dont know how I detailed with out it. I would much rather use it that the orbital. Plus it is on sale at CMA. Call Jan she will hook you up.
