a friend's E30 318...

i did this car today in about 6 hours, but i took my time since i had it all day and tomorrow morning i'll put the 2nd coat of SG

i tried out almost all my polishes (5-6 meg's and 2 3M) just to see what i should use over the whole car...

paint is 15 years old, so perfect was out of the question

it was oxidized with many swirls and, to my surprise, only a few scratches

anyway...

washed with meg's GC

clayed with meg's and meg's QD (only some places needed claying since the owner cleaned it up good himself when he bought it recently

meg's #83 on a few areas (scratches)

meg's #80 over most of the car

meg's #82 (switched from meg's #9) over whole car

klasse aio and SG

went over trim with mother's back to black

nxt on tires

went over interior quickly with sonus eclipse

stoner's on glass

i'm sure i missed something since it's kinda late but i'll add if i remember

sun wasn't out and i finished late so no whole car photos or outside shots... i'll take some after the 2nd coat of SG tomorrow morning and post here

hopefully the sun will come out

Absolutely outstanding work! :bow

you say that to everyone to make them feel better because we can't detail as good as you :(

haha i liked how it turned out for mistreated 15yr old paint though but i wish i had some before shots to compare to the after shots outside.... some reflections of before would've been horrible though... i think my favorite photos are the ones of the lights a a reflection, paint looks so clean in those

anyway, thanks for the comment :2thumbs:
