i have had a set of chrome wheels for my SUV since last christmas and i've decided to keep them on for the winter as opposed to puttin my crappy ones back on. I just purchased poorboys EX-P sealant and the wheel sealant. My first question is a basic/stupid one. I'm really sorry to be asking this but the answer slipped my mine. on PAINT, do i apply the sealant after i wax? or before. Sorry, just wanted to clear that up. Second what would you guys recomend on the chrome plated wheels. The wheel sealant or the EX-P. Yes the wheel sealant sounds like the right product but i didnt know if other people had better experiences using EX-P on chrome. I always thought NXT worked on wheels ;( but someone said the wheels get too hot for the wax and it can do bad things to it. So i just need a sealant to project the wheels from roadsalt etc during the winter (with weekly cleaning)

do i apply the sealant after i wax

Sealant, then wax...Polymers wont adhere to waxes, at least properly.

As for wheel protection, anything is better then nothing at all. A lot of people have had great success with "wheel sealants." As for them being better then a "paint protectant", there is speculation......

alrite thanx, will i see a significant difference in gloss/wetness if i apply ex-p before a product like NXT, or is sealant mainly a protecting step and not a glaze-like step?

EX-P wont fill anything that your going to notice, try to take care of that before EX-P or NXT. I think If you applied NXT after EX-P, it may be redundant. NXT does have some mild cleaning function, so you may end up doing "less" for the surface then your trying to. I'd rather see you give it an additional coat of EX-P the following day.......I have had good luck with Vanilla Moose prior to using UPP, but I havent tried it with EX-P. Something to consider if your unable to get all the defects out before your sealant....
