My friend is giving me his PC since I am totally new to detailing. I know that a rotary or a flex would be more effective, but I'm new. I was hoping that you guys could answer a few questions for me!
Are pad conditioners (prep) and pad cleaners really needed if you are going to be doing some PC work?
I am going to use the 4" pads for the polish so it can get the swirls out, but when I am using Zaino would it be a good idea to use 6.5" pads or should I apply the Zaino by hand?
Finally, I am really confused about the pads for sale. Some of them seem rather expensive such as "The Edge" 6" 5 pack for $79.99 or the Dual Action Deluxe CCS 6" pads 4 pack for $69.95. I saw the 4" Lake Country pads that seem MUCH more reasonable for $4.99 each. Is there a particular reason that the Lake Country 4" pads are so cheap compared to the others?
In order to properly polish and seal a normal size sedan...wouldn't it be fair to say I would need 2 of each pad?
