Spent some time in the garage the last few days messing with the Cay.

Installed 4 Backup sensors, I did prime paint and CC the sensors for a complete oem look.

I also installed a ericcson bluetooth car kit so that i have handsfree, and the radio mutes when a call is received. The sound comes through a spreaker under the passenger side dash, it would be nice if it came thorugh the stereo speakers, but the muting is good enough.

Very nice :up . Good choice on the bluetooth hands free kit. I have one and it helps keep your hands on the steering wheel. I do get a few strange looks from people wondering if I am talking to myself when I sit at a stop light. LOL

Very

How much time did you put into the back-up sensors? You did an outstanding job, looks like it was a factory installed option!

Thanks, I wanted a complete oem look, otherwise i wouldnt have done it.

Most of the time was spent painting, but that was just spraying a coat every now and then, primer, several thin coats of basecoat, and a few coats of clear.

Otherwise it was as simple as measuring out where they were going, drilling the 4 holes (which was simple, but very nerve racking, but not hard), slide in the 4 sensors, run the wires into one of the rear side compartments. It is simply wired into the backup lights so it comes on when the car is put in reverse, and the compartment I put the unit in was where the wires for the brake lights are so that made it easy.

So, actual time spent installing it was an hour at the most.

Looks very good on your Cayenne bjwebster!:xyxthumbs

May I ask you if such a system is expensive and how much did cost you?

I was thinking putting such a system on my Passat station wagon.

The rear window is big, but there's so much space in between me and the rear bumper, that sometimes it get tricky to park it (at night or near certain fences)..:(

I found this system.

My VW being black, the black sensors should match.:D

This is the exact system I used:

It came in black, so if your car is black, you would be set!
