A few Mach 1 Pics

SHort throw wont void your warranty. Plenty of ppl I know that had short throws like the pro 5.0, steeda, hurst, and B&m never had their warranty voided.
 
scottwax, no problem but you have to polish and wax it first. Just to make sure it's got an even coat ok?



The dealer can hassle me for a short throw, they might not but they could easily say that the shifter caused tranny problems. I just don't want to have to fight with them over it. I can wait.

I forgot were I read the ACTUAL law, but it is AGAINST the law for the DEALER to void your warranty if you install a modifiction made for your car.
 
i think i'm gonna have to try some DACP. i got some scratches #80 couldn't take out, even when using a CMA cutting pad. the NXT is also cool because even if it doesn't feel slick, it still will bead, well it did for me. but i just got VM and EX-P and used it over the weekend. then it rained.



as far as mods go, i've stories where if you have a good service guy, it shouldn't be too much of a hassle. i like my Mach1 and if anything, i am thinking of changing the shocks to some Koni yellows.

well yeah it is kinda exactly like "innocent till proven guilty" when it is actually more like "guilty till proven innocent" in real life



the DEALER has to prove the mod is the cause of the failure, but he has alot of latitude as HE is the middleman between you and Ford...and who do you think he is going to side with?



I think you are safe with the tri-ax tho. If you go in for engine/tranny warranty stuff the shifter can be removed and replaced in 30 minutes in your driveway.
 
Yeah they do have to prove that the mod is what caused the breakage, *BUT* if you fight them over it hoe do you think one would be treated after that? Plus I honestly don't have the $$ to take them to court, and try to fight it. I'm sure I will in time swap out the stock for a pro 5.0 but as of now it really doesn’t matter anyways because I'm flat broke :)

The 4V is a nasty motor, esp. with a blower on it. That 4V Cobra motor is a close 2nd to the LS1, which is one of the best modern engines I've seen in a while.
 
MAC[H]Z; That's the shifter I'm looking into getting, how's it hold up? The triax just doesn't look like what I want. Your car looks great!! What did you hit on the dynojet? Also what tips are those poking out the back of that bad boy?

I put down 304HP 322TQ SAE



I love the feel of the shifter and the longer reach of the kona handle is great, but as with all the other aftermarket shifters you get a little more tranny noise.



The tips are on my Borla stinger catbacks
