A few buffing questions

I have a PC buffer, 1z pro-line intensive paste, final finish, and high gloss polish. I am looking at removing some fairly deep scratches off my paint. I used the intensive paste with a yellow buffing pad and it took most of the scratches out. My problem is, I am unsure which paste to use next with which pad. After the yellow pad got the scratches out, the surface looks kind of dull. Any tips?

Pics would help.

As a general rule. Any scratch you can feel with a fingernail will not be able to be corrected (only minimized). Not familiar with the products you're using (limited experience outside of what I have). I'll let the pro's chime in but sounds like it is normal hazing from using and aggressive products and you need to finish it off with a finer polish.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. I haven't tried anything else, but I'll go with a less agressive pad/paste and see what that does. I was just hoping for someone elses input.

Don't give up on that yet. A lot of very knowledgable guys on here that really know what they are doing (as opposed to me).
