A Couple of Lexus Seek Shelter (I won this fight)

Wanted to share this because I know that it would be appreciated, here. After MONTHS of the cars not having a safehaven from the weather (not needing it), I decided that it was paramount to get the cars in the garage since Tornado/Hail season is ramping up. Little back story, this time last year North Texas had A LOT of hail, some areas even received softball sized hail. Luckily that hail passed us, but the (old) cars still got hit, and eventually totaled (we waited a few months to complete the insurance claims due to the demand of PDR and insurance premiums). Storm is due to roll in tonight. Even though I have a ton of studying to do for three exams next week, taking care of the cars was the focus of today. Enjoy the pics because I am super pumped that I won this battle! B)

Sorry for the bad pics, dirty cars, and ridiculous garage, life has been insatiably busy.

The Trashman is your friend, you have got to learn to part with some of your old stuff. Or your going to end up and the hoarders show.

If I told you all the things that life has thrown our way in the past four years, you wouldn`t believe what has been experienced, but as the Apostle Paul says, there is glory in suffering in the name of Christ. The majority of that stuff is past generations that has been inherited and there has really been no time to go through it and part with it until recently. By early summer, the goal is to have the majority of it gone.

Sorry, hopefully some of the last 4 years has been a good busy to go with the sad/tuff busy (inheriting stuff usually means loosing someone you love). My wife lost her dad a year and a half ago and Her mom wants to down size the house and her belongings but just isn`t ready to part with the memories attached to them yet.

No worries ,all is currently well:) Parting with some items can be so tough, especially when there are incredible stories behind them. But hey, to live is Christ and to die is gain. I am sorry for your wife`s loss, the good news is that memories don`t fade like belongings that may rust or wither.

Enough of the dwelling. How about that 3hr 45min organization job?! Now I have room to detail: 1. in the garage 2. with the garage door down! B) A luxury that some you others may already have.:lmfao

I can relate to this one........we just moved to North Texas and are still unpacking. Due to that there was room in the garage for one car only and we have two. A week or so ago the weather folks were talking possibly golf ball to baseball sized hail. I had to scramble and rearrange the garage somehow to get both cars inside. I got it done just in time and the storm went right around us! Better safe than sorry.
