A couple of black beauties...SLK55 AMG, TT S-Line

Repeat customer, this time with a couple new vehicles :).

Steve is a really great guy to do business with as well as chat with. I probably spent an extra half hour there just chatting cars, business, life, etc. I always enjoy clients like this :).

Anyways, he picked up both vehicles within 3 months ago. Both have under 5k miles, minimal defects, and pretty contaminant free. He likes to keep his vehicles relatively clean, but realized the boundaries, so he usually opts out of heavy polishing and claying unless it really needs it. My finals were identical on either except I used AIO (pre-VOC) to polish the MB and Blackfire Final Polish on the Audi. The MB was absolutely marr-free (thank you Ceramiclear!) The Audi had buffer marring from dealer prep :down. They were:

Interior

-Steam the mats

-Z9 on everything

-Z10 on leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber

-Z6 on aluminum, gauges, windows, etc

Heel wearing through, not a stain

MB didn't come out :(

Exterior

-AIO (pre-VOC) by hand FOR MB

-Blackfire Final Polish via rotary and LC Finessing Pad @ 1200 rpm FOR AUDI

-Z6 wipedown

-Z5 Pro (ZFX'd) on everything

-Z16 on tires

-CD-2 Engine Detailer in wells

Unfortunately it was raining as I was finishing the MB, so I had to pull it in sans the pics. The owners were so happy ("It looks better than the day we picked it [them] up") that they were joking around about renting cars for the next couple weeks to preserve the beauty :D...so I KNEW pulling the MB out for pics was out of the question.

Oh well, two gorgeous cars, nonetheless.

Enjoy!

I could post now and I'd be "that guy" who posted in between the OPs two posts, but I will wait. The interior on that Audi looks incredible. I realize it's a new car but damn man, it's spotless.

Bummer about the SLK pics, I hate trying to take pics in garages, always messes them up. In any event they both look killer. The paint on them is dripping. I need some Z5pro!

Both look really excellent! The look of Z5 Pro very much reminds me of how Acrylic Jett appears in pics too. I may have to do a side by side test one of these days. ;)

I hear ya on the CeramiClear, with proper washing, halo swirls take forever to begin to form.

Those wheels on the SLK-truly evil! Eleventy billion spokes, just like the new S class. I guess they are job security for us though, right? ;)

Sean its been awhile! Hows it been going? They look great, how did you clean the inside of those MB rims, they look spotless and the space to get in there looks to be nothing!

Take care,

Andrew

Those spokes look easy to clean though. :)

Thank you!

I soaked the wheels in Meguiar's Wheel Brightener cut 3:1, then agitated with a Wal-Mart MF. I used a solution of Opt Car Wash to rinse. With the nice cleaning power of WB, strong clear of the wheels, and the patience of my work, the wheels turned out great. Inside the spoke were just massaged with the MF and my hands. I was very happy as was the customer. I pointed Steve to buying a spoke brush to keep them like that :).

GSR,

I have nothing to add except for... Fan Friggen Tabulous! They both look absolutely gorgeous. You definately set a high bar for us detailers to aspire to!

Guess it's time for me to break down and try Sal's inventions!

Did you use a water rinse in addition to the opt. no rinse? The reason I ask is that I thought that a strong water rinse would be needed after using a wheel cleaner. Also, how much did you use for the rinse? Would be great if opt. no rise was all that was needed since I don't have a hose.

Thanks in advance.

edsmed: I used the regular car wash not the No Rinse, but yes I used a high pressure stream to rinse the wheels.

:LOLOL

That last pic is just incredible...two fine looking rear ends. Wonderful work on the details. I don't even like the TT, but your pics make me want one.

Sorry in advance for the tangent, but I'm trying to enter the mind of your customer. "Hmmm...Teuton two-seater hot rods, purchase time. What do I want? Mmkay, Benz SLK with some AMG love. Check. Ooh... Audi TT S Line. That's sweet too. Which one to get? Ahh screw it...I'll buy both!"

Vroom: Newly-weds with no kids...They live well :).

Last year, I did his CLK55AMG and her Jag X-type. They are happier with their gorgeous 2-doors now, as impractical as they are :lol
