A couple details

I did my 91 Crimson Red MR2 and my buddies AWD Talon TSi



This was my first PC experience and I'm sure if I made a couple more passes to really kill the swirls, but I am probably going to d othat next week

and of course no products with fillers were used.



Now onto my car the 91 MR2:

After a while, you learn to become content with leaving a defect or two that nobody will notice except you. Making more passes than necessary just to get every single last mark can start to wear away at the clear. It's the toughest for us black and red owners, though...those two like to go out of their way to show you every last imperfection. Moderation is the key...same as starting with the least abrasive method first instead of whipping out the compound and wool pads every time.



From the driver's side profile and the angle shots you took, the paint looks exceptional, especially for a 1991. I'd be perfectly content with the job you did based on the result pictures.

I'm considering doing this part time, do you guys think this is good enough work to sell my services? be honest, seriously.



And I have water spots that just don't come out. The heavy cut hi temp stuff I was using doesn't feel gritty at all. Should I go for a gritty compound instead of the smooth leveler. Actually their heavy cut leveler left a LSP finish I was suprised I dind't need to follow up with a lower grade polisher.

i think so. you only did one pass and it came out great. i'm sure if you did it as a paid detail you would of went over it again, thus getting rid of most all the swirls/scratches. remember : us autopians have higher expectations than the average joe and most people would be happy with the one pass that you did on your buddies car. you only get better and more knowledgable as you do more details and will know what each car will call for. :up
