A Buick and a Cadillac...

At first it looked as thought nobody would want us to detail their cars. The manager of the country club wasn't coming in until 10am, most people were there and on the green by 8 or 9am, and it was a demo day for golf products. Mike (tpgsr) had to set up behind some bushes because a dealer didn't like the fact that we were there. I don't want to divulge into it, but we had to be more discrete, which means without the manager there telling people, nobody knew really (Mike doesn't want to be intrusive about things).

This was just suppose to be a wash and quick interior clean. Mike decided to wax it for him free, because we had time and he was kind of bored (I think he wanted to try the new wax too). He put Natty's on in the sun (the directions say you can), but it baked onto the paint. So he went back over with Vanilla Moose to get the residue off.

At first, Natty's, then VM was applied because it glued itself on. The customer only paid for a wash/interior vacuum so they made out on the deal.



I believe he did apply it panel by panel. I know that's how i applied it, but I was out of the sun. :)

That looked to be rub-off on the buick from a painted pole or something. Mike used DACP and a yellow pad and a lot of time to get it off. :)
 
actually i used ssr3 and a yellow pad, followed by DACP on a white pad, and a lot of time. I didn't have any pads for the retary in the truck, so i had to do some of it by had, and the remainder by PC. It wasn't the easiest thing to do. It was paint transfer from the guy hitting a llight pole that was painted white. Or that is at least what he said.





I did do the nattys panel by panel, but it still left a very light residue that just couln't be removed, so i attacked it with VM and that corrected my problem. from now on i am keeping nattys for my shade only applications (like that buick)
 
Love that hood shot on the Caddy. It seems to me that you would have had more customers then you could deal with. Do you plan on doing this again?

Every Saturday. We could have handled more customers. I want to be really busy, as does Mike. :)

That's what it says on the container. I'll try it again on a panel on a car that's in the sun and see what happens. Probably the same thing. :)
 
I tried the nattys again on a red single stage, and again no luck in the sun... I will give it one more try on a lighter car, but thus far i am only likeing it for shade applications. I am going to talk to scott preston about it. He is the one i got it from, and he seemed to know alot about it so i will see what he has to say.





As to the question of if he know we waxed it. Nope he had no clue, but it was raining the day after, so hopefully he saw the nice beads running off the car.
 
It is a 20'x30' shelter Systems canopy, i got it a few years ago, and all in all with the top, the walls, and all couple hundred lbs. of steel piping it was well over $1000 The pipes were purchased from Rexel Intl. My fathers employer. The tent from somewhere in ohio, and the walls in vestal NY. You can find these tents from other places on and offline. it takes just under an hour to set up, and is incredibly hard to do with one person (trust me i know :( )
