I'm betting there will be a movie out in the near future about the captain who was recently rescued from pirates. Quite a story.

I'm glad we weren't afraid to use force to free him. :bigups
 
I missed the story where he was rescued. Last I read, yesterday, was that he had escaped only to be recaptured. The story got some local news coverage as one of the crew members was a local boy, Plano.

Glad to hear this incident had a favorable outcome.

It will be a made for TV Docu-drama with the U.S. being made out to be the bad guys for killing 3 poor Somali's that had no way of making a living because of suppression from the U.S and other capitalistic nations.

Thank God he was freed unharmed!

Boring? Have you seen some of the movies out lately? It would make an awesome movie if they did it right.
 
Such a crazy story...I was reading that since the beginning of the year there's been 66 attacks and are still something like 260 hostages unaccounted for...pretty crazy...glad they got him back tho!
 
This is going to continue to happen until law and order is restored off the coast of Somalia.

It is not going to get better and more like worse since they finally lost a few pirates. Before it was a simple game of chicken where the pirates always won, now it will be more deadly. We need to avoid another Black Hawk Down like incident since one could try to solve it quickly by eliminating the source.

I do not know why the prior Bush administration did not try to find some solution (never read about any) but suspect it would have to involve the UN.

but sitting in a life boat can't have much of a story line :hmmm:

I'm not sure how you view the post. I could be wrong, but I sense more than a bit of sarcasm in his post. Though I don't agree that would be the direction if such a project were undertaken.
 
:cool: All I can say is 3 bulletts-3 dead Pirates= AWESOME...:bow GO NAVY SEALS :USA:USA:USA I also heard when Seals got aboard ship they ate the Pirates Parakeet...ARRR... Gotta love it me mates
