I recently did a search for lipstick stain and got back one thread.....Davids book, if I recall, list a few items, from Ivory and a toothbrush, to dry cleaning fluid (I think).....Do these items still hold true or is there a better mousetrap out there...?

Shes booked an appt, but she has forewarned me about the lipstick between the seats (Easy, i know what your thinking) lol......I run out Friday to inspect.....

BTW, she nearly laughed at me when i gave her my price.....$175.00, she thought i was cheap.....I really need to throw the hook out on this one......These folks live in a upscale Country Club, so 1st impression is everything here.....They have nearly 200k in 3 cars.....

99 S 320, Black

Neautral wash

Either 1X DACP or SMR

1X BF II polish

1X BFII protectant

1X Carnauba on horizontals.....

Sound decent ?

Corona X2 or 3 widda slice of lime....when i get home, of course...

Cmon !!!!!!!!! 50 reads and not a reply ?????

Given that lipstick is waxy/greasy/fatty, I would try 3M Wax, Tar, and Adhesive remover. I have used that on melted crayons on

cloth seats and it worked perfectly (not my car, but I do have little kids and the risk is there).

You'll need to condition the daylights out of the leather after that

and de-stink-o-fy the interior, but it should work.

Actually now that I think about it I would get a hold of some lipstick ahead of time and experiment before tackling the high end car.

good luck

I'd do my best to find the local supplier/distributor of pro carpet cleaner/extractors. They'll have many options to choose from, including P.I.G. (Paint, Ink, Grease) Remover. Probably a good investment of $5-10.

I splurged on a stain removal kit that has nine different chemical compounds... my limited experience has been wonderful. Simply identify the stain, read a chart and follow the steps. 'Course, having the Sensei extractor doesn't hurt.

I'm pretty sure it will "suck the chrome off a bumper", to quote Willie Nelson.

Good Luck!

Jim

BTW, local "BMW Spa" full details start at $225 here in Indy, all swirls included.

Start ??

I just returned from inspecting the MB, its had 4 yrs of neglect in the Calif sun + the lipstick stain....it wasnt as bad as I thought, she did manage to get the majority of it, theres just a light pink smudge between the center console and the seat, i think DW soap and a small brush should do it..(fingers crossed)....It had a few water spots but they came off with QD. I took some DACP to the door panel, and it looked pretty d*** good, i think Ill just clay, DACP and follow up with a poly/carnauba blend...

I found an interseting site some of you folks may be interested in, not so much for cars, but take a peek !
