after washing it this is what I used:

Clayed the whole car

SSR3 w/ white CMA pad on a few trouble spots (i was kind of disappointed with SSR3, but i guess that's what i get when only using it with a PC)

SSR2.5 the whole car with a LC VC orange pad

SSR1 the whole car with a LC VC white pad

2x AIO

2x SG

1x s100

I'm recharging the battery and will take more pics soon :)

yes to lots of orange peel. I don't know if this car ever had anu paintwork done to it or not. The owner did tell me that there was some paint defect on the roof around where the roof rack is attached.

I used compound because there were a couple of areas that were *really* bad.

looks good. man how do you guys get good before shots of the swirls. i can never get any good shots of the paint condition before, is there a special light angle :o

I found that using the camera's flash helps show the swirls. I put my finger on the paint and let the camera autofocus on that, then freeze the focus and snap the pic after i take my finger away.

If i don't focus on my finger first, the camera has a tendency to focus on the reflection and leave the swirlies blurry.

On the orange peel issue...I think that it's probably typical stuff for Audi VW...my BB Audi A4 has horrible orange peel on the origional pannels. The front clip was repainted becasue my fiance got hit by a drunk driver and the quality of the repaint puts the factory stuff to shame.
