ok 5 hours later....the only reason i did this by hand is. i do not have a pc yet. so, here is what i did. opinions please

- wash

-claybar(mothers)

-3M swirl remover.. back and fourth hard pressure for 3 passes. then with my 6 inch mini buffer polisher from wallmart (4000) rpm. i took the microfiber bonnets they also sell and turned them inside out, and went over it again with the 3M. 3 passes. then buff off by hand

(VERY HARD TO GET OFF, VERY GUMMY) but seemed to get the swirls out good

-polish with klasse aio. with a new microfiber bonnet fliped inside out. 3 passes. buff off by hand

-wax. megs NXT with a fresh micro fiber bonnet. one pass.

++++++here is the first pic, sorry i only got one but this is what the whole car looked like! swirl city. this is after wash and clay.+++++++++

+++++this is after the swirl remover half and half on the hood, before polish and wax++++++

+++++another hood shot with just the swirl remover, no polish or wax+++++

+++++++last cupple photos are of the car all done with polish and wax+++++

and here is the kicker i did this all for 20 dollars for a friend.

Nice results, but beware of fillers with 3m. Every time you use a 3m product, just to be safe, assume that it has fillers.

For working by hand, on your own car, fillers are just fine, just dont tell someone you'll detail their car and use fillers because when their swirls come back they will feel ripped off.

But like I said, on your own car, where you can apply it again yourself, fillers are ok only in those types of situations.

6 inch mini buffer polisher and 4000rpm?!?

Seems that you got a lot of holograms out there...

this was also before the polish and wax, so with the 3m there was a little hazing, klass aio took care of that. scrool down to the other sun pic. no more holograms

when i was looking for a buffer/ waxer at walmart i looked at the specs of 2 of them they had. one was 2500rmp @ 120v. and the one i bought was the 6in mini from colman. wich it says on the box 4000rpm @120v. im sure i wasnt getting a full 4000 rpm out of it. but i figured at least its more powerful under load. so i went with the colman. the results shocked me.

To help get the 3M or any other product off easier use a damp microfiber towel. Works great.

i was kinda doing this. i was usind quick detailer to wipe off the 3M. worked good. also this stuff dried super quick, so instead of adding more product and having it all goobed on, i kept misting the area that went dry, and go over it a cupple more times.

Looks like an improvement for sure and a heck of a workout. Glad to hear the mini buffer worked out for you.

Good job working by hand.

I don't understand why you used AIO though.

It's not abrasive, so it didn't do anything to polish the paint... It's a good cleaner, but you clayed and had already polished.

It does leave sealant behind, which is great, but you put NXT over it, which contains cleaners, so the protection is gone...

None the less, looks great dude. :)
