Neat transformation! I always enjoy reading and viewing your top notch posts and details!

Where can you purchase the Optimum pads (I didn't seem them on Optimum's site). PM me if you don't want to post here.

Keep up the quality work.

Hey, thanks all for the enthusiastic comments :)

Pigeonbus -

I don't believe they are on the Optimum site as of yet but if you call I know you can order them. I have some ordered also but they were on back order. I have tons of pads right now of every color, shape and variety. I am falling in love all over again with wool pads!

I have two lambswool pads from ValuGard. These are great pads and they are genuine as they still have the skin attached, also known as "belly pads". If you are looking for some unique pads that work great in the mid polishing range you may want to give these a try.

Thanks again,

Anthony

are those pretty aggressive pads or are they just for mild polishing.

The wool pads come in a medium and light. The black is light and the white is medium. I am comparing then to LC's cutting pad, which I consider "heavy". The Opt. white pad will not cut like the LC white pad, hence why I would say it is in gthe medium range.

I really like the Opt. green light cutting pad, in either 6 or 8 inch, the blue polishing pad, which is a bit finer than LC's white polishing pad and also Opt.'s white finishing pad which is finer than LC's blue finishing pad.

The Opt white pad is about 100 ppi while LC's is probably about 98 ppi. You can actually feel the difference in the foam.

The Opt. black finishing pad is about as fine as the LC blue pad but I get great results with going from the blue to the white. The Opt. orange pad is like the LC orange and the many others out there. Most of the Opt pads are available in 6 or 8 in. I really like the 8in. pads as they are nice and flat, not thick like the LC pads.

Hope that helps,

Anthony

Hello and thanks to all for their comments :D

Here is a link for the paste wax I used from Gliptone http://www.gliptone.com/prod/ws.asp It is called "Easy to use paste wax" and it comes in a 13oz tin.

It can be bought at some stores but not sure if they carry it on your side of the world :nixweiss

The Opt. spray wax is far easier to apply than FMJ, is a better value, the appearance is pretty much equal as is longevity. Opt. spray wax though edges out as it can be used on glass and chrome and never turns your trim white with residue.

The Opt polishes have replaced Menzerna polishes for me personally. Not that there is anything wrong with Menzerna, they are fantastic products, it's just that the increased working time of Opt polishes plus their low dusting qualities....add to that their superior pricing make them very hard to beat. I have saved alot of money since using Opt products exclusively.

I think Autogeek ships to your side of the ocean....perhaps a few others also, do a websearch.

Never used Natty's but in reality there can't be much difference. Gliptone costs like $10 for a 13oz tin, what does Natty's cost? THAT will be the biggest difference between the two...price!

Optimum produces the Optimum Polish, which if used with a rotary will do what IP does BUT it can also finish out like FPII if used with a foam finishing pad.

In about 2 weeks Optimum "Compound" should be out and this will remove 1200 grit sanding marks and finish out very, very nice. So these 2 Opt products will probably do what the 3 Menzerna products do, and yes, they produce little to no dust, which is a big plus if time is a factor :)

I also have the new Opt sealant but this is still in the beta testing stage.

You are also very welcome for the help, let me know if I can be of any further help.
