After joining Detail City, I realized that in order to be successful I was going to need a PC. Luckily a buddy of mine has one so I just had to order pads and supplies. I ordered the majority of my products from SMP and he was able to answer all questions I had. I am amazed at how well the car turned out. While there are still some scratches, it looks much better than it did. However, it does show alot more dings now. I would rather have a shiny dent than a dirty one. One of the things that helped my car tremendously is wiping down the wheelwells with APC and then painting with spray paint. As shown in the photos, my wheelwells dissapear now. My next project is going to be a 2003 Chrysler Concorde with paint in much better shape than my Monte so I'm hoping the results will also be outstanding.

:howdy WELCOME TO Detail City,

Holy crap that door is trashed. Where you able to remove some the scratches? From the pics it looks like you did a real good job on the car. Speaks in volumes in what PBs SSRs are able to do.
Good Work..

Very nice. Now you have an exterior to go with what looks like a very well kept interior. :)

Impressive first post!!

Like the pictures of the vehicle as well as posting process. I like reading about what others are using.

You are absolutely correct about the wheel wells, they do seem to disappear.

Great job on the detail. That's a pretty impressive turn around you achieved. Make sure you stop by the new members forum to give yourself a proper introduction.

Nope the solstice owner is my g/f's dad...however, he lets me take it out on the weekends. Nothing like driving around in a sporty car and not even having to pay for gas :rockon

Now you need to call a PDR guy to try to clean up some of those body panels. That thing will look like new if you get some of those little dimples out of the hood and doors. That fender can be made to look 85% better. I think it may be trashed beyond most PDR parameters.

I have a friend in the body business that has recently moved close enough to justify me having him work on my car. I plan on getting both new fenders and we are going to strip the car to metal and start over from scratch. He does some wicked work and owes me so the whole car is going to be repainted and all dents removed. Not only will it be repainted, but we have a custom paint scheme in the works. I'll be sure to give updates and take photos through the whole process when it is underway.
