92" Lexus SC400

Beemerboy

Just One More Coat
I picked this detail threw another site, local guy to me here.

Anyway he wanted to sell this car and it was beatup big time. I did everything on the car but as I move threw a car I hate to stop and take pics. I was going to ask the wife to help but she wasn't feeling good. still doesn't today:passout:

Anyway these before pics are after I had spent 2 hours washing it and doing the motor. I was really trying to show the swirls in the paint but even with this new wise bang camera I'm a dunce.

What I did was.

Washed with PB SS&S
Clayed with QD
SSR2.5, Edge polishing pad with a rotary
SSR1, Edge polish pad with the same
PC polishing pad with P-w-C

Based on what I was charging this guy and what he wanted for the sale this ride came back to life. His GF said it looked like I had repainted the car:D

One thing the really surprised me on this car was it acted like SS paint, I was lifting color off the car and onto the pads. I've not done a car that was like that, I had read that on some earlier year Japanese cars that some where single stage paints, I guess this might have been one

Great job! It's always nice to hear those types of compliments after a detail.

Thanks I have to get some practice with this CAM so that I can get the real look of the befores..The other thing is that befores are taken in the AM and the afters are in PM lighting is never the same.

Yes, some black and red foreign cars still use a single stage urathene paint, so you will get color :)

That is some nice work. It's amazing what someone can do with the proper products and procedure. Great job!
