Being able to wash my car inside my own garage was a game changer. I still love me a good 2 bucket conventional wash - but conditions/ family commitments don`t always allow me to do one. Heck, most of my detailing projects don`t even start until the kido AND wifey have gone to bed!

Using said product as a interior cleaner and due to this "new tech that emulsifies and encapsulating dirt" and whatnot.....do you think it cleans better than traditional interior cleaners ?
I`m mainly a water wipedown, with a mix of Cockpit on the dash and steering.
I am a huge stickler for one clean steering wheel, always trying to remove any surface oils.
Me wonders what effect it has long term use on leather using said products

I think it cleans safer. I have a new truck with 14k miles and the only thing that has cleaned the interior is ONR. Not a scratch on the plastic instrument panel or radio. Not to say I wont eventually have marring there, but once a week wipedown with ONR and nope, still marr free. Through sandy dust, not normal people dust.

The answer is YES! N-914 will help soften the water if you add an ounce to your bucket of car wash..

Heh heh, if mine has *any* dirt in it I figure I totally [screwed] up.
(Hence, my Q about using rinseless in the rinse bucket was basically just theoretical...)

All that said, my steering wheel wipedowns are done with a mild Interior Cleaner, followed by a rise by wiping with a water-dampened cloth, followed by either the proper Leather Doctor Protectant (the S8 and Jag) or an Interior QD (the others). So if I *really* thought that constant Rinseless-ing the steering wheel was a good idea, I`d do it with a rinseless that I like better than ONR...but I don`t do that.

As promised, here`s a side by side of my wash vs rinse bucket (allowed to settle overnight) and both sides of my rinseless wash mitt after using Nick`s-914:
Noticeably different! And my RW mitt looks pretty clean too.
Prior to starting I foamed/power washed as much grime as possible from the vehicle. What you`re seeing in the bucket is road film. Typically I`ll use 4-5 gallons of wash water mixed as a RW, emptying the rinse bucket as needed.
Does using 2 buckets defeate whole point of a RW`s single wash/rinse bucket advantage? Yup. But I`m ok with that as long as it`s helping me to reduce the potential of maring the paint.

Yes, I do! I like how easy it is to scrub the gunk off my mitts w/o needing to reach all the way down to the grit guard in the bottom of the bucket and potentially stirring up old debris.

Angus- That was interesting! Thanks for posting the pix, which really illustrated your point. That`s sure a lot of dirt considering that you did a preclean, sorta surprising to me (this coming from a guy who pressure prewashes vehicles that`re so dirty I can`t tell what color they are).
