Greg Gellas
I'm Greg :)
I had a buddy of mine bring me his cl that he just got...It really wasn't in TOO bad of a condition. Swirls throughout the worst was the wheels and the leather.
I started by pulling the wheels as my usual procedure
All four were pretty gross...
I could have never achieved this amount of correction on the wheels unless I did pull them and spent the amount of time I did on them. I also De-Greased the wheel wells as they were in pretty bad shape also.
After Washing and claying the car I brought it inside to start working on the paint. Before I started the paint I helped the little woman, who always helps me, setup the Rejuvinator oil. You can see the leather was not in the best of condition.
I got the oil on all the surfaces...
I needed to work on the paint while I waited for the Oil to do its magic so I plopped a little heater in the car and that helped speed up the process.
Onto the paint sorry about the crappy picture, I did a 50/50 to see which product I would like to use....Initally I tried a white pad with some power finish but was unhappy cause I needed a little more correction. I switched to an orange pad usint XMT #3.
At one point there was a sunroof spoler on there and it left quite a few scratches...
My little dog was getting hot out in the garage with me so she went and sat in front of the fan that was drying the carpet...
Unfortunatly I did not get a chance to get all that I did on camera. After going over the entire car with the XMT. I finished up with opti-seal.
I moved back to the leather....The oil had sat in the heat since the morning, I wish I could have let it sit longer but it turned out really well. I used the prestine clean and started scrubbing...
I wiped it all down as I went, MF in a warm bucket of water. They really turned out nice even with the time restraints.
Before
After
Finishing up, I wanted to prtect the carpets from any further damage at least for a while. I absoutly hate the paper mats, they get taken out right as the customer gets into the car. So instead I use this sticky carpet that I sometime use when I work on my house I figured why not
I layed it over the carpet and trimmed it...
