9 Weeks To Win: Ultima Paint Care System Giveaway (Week 8)

I'm looking forward to using 1Z Einszett Anti-Front Wash Fluid Concentrate to help keep my windshield crystal clear this winter. I only wish they sold it by the gallon size since I'm sure I'll be going through a TON of it if this winter is anything like last year!!!

Dodo juice Supernatural Hybrid... Because, apart from the season long durability, it offers continued glossy looks (for a silver car) and great water behavior.

It's so hard to choose a favorite, but I like the meguiars waterless wash concentrate gallon size. I like the smell and I can de-salt my truck without freezing the doors and windows shut or creating an ice skating rink in the driveway.

DP Rinseless Wash and Gloss - first winter I've got into having ever used a RW product. This should make keeping my car clean (in my garage) so much easier once it's cold out!

Not really that bad of a winter, but my dread starts with the sludge.

For the paint, what worked for me was Sonax Polymer Net Shield. Less contaminant etching, less water spotting, if any. Honestly though, the best lifesaver for me is the Daytona PRO Brush- it helps me do a full clean on my wheel wells effortlessly. I can't stand dirty wells :D

Sad to see it go.

Cali winter is not extreme as the other areas of the country. So my "winter" product would have to be Gtechniq G1. Makes me like driving in the rain just to see water shoot off the windows!

A lot of responses for durable sealants. Oddly enough, for me in the ridiculously harsh minnesota winters, it's sonax full effect/sonax wheel cleaner plus. My Wheels get just nasty from the German brake dust and constant slush on the roads. Sonax and the like make wheel cleaning much easier.

Silicone Spray. A little on the bottom rubber seals of the windows keeps them from sticking and a bit on your wiper blades makes the snow and ice slide right off.

I agree with a lot of people on here and have to say Optimum No Rinse Wash Shine. Washing your car in the garage is the best.

Finish Kare Fk1000p wax. Long lasting and it can just about gets me through our extra long cold winters.

Before I moved to FL I lived most of my life in northern NJ. And the product that hasn't changed is......WATER! Yes, that's right water.

My first couple of cars were rust buckets. Someone whispered in my ear (not the way your thinking of lol) wash off the your car after riding it through the snow and salt. Well, that stuck to me...hardcore!

I remember after snow storms or riding around in the snow "water" was my best friend. But, up north NJ I always had apartments and I was tired of spending money at the coin op. So, whether it be at work with the garden hose or at a friends house with a garden hose I would lay on the ground and spray under my car mostly. Then, I would wash my car with a bucket and "random car wash soap".

I pick "Water" as my product...that's right I said it!

I hope that you apply either a wax or a Sealant after you have polished with Power Finish..that's a polish and has no protection to the paint

QUOTE=WaxAddict;523330]In these parts, Winter means nice, accessible weather, where you can detail your ride without dying of heat stroke and dehydration. Thus, winter means paint correction season to me. My favorite product for the task is Menzerna PF2500.

Yeah man, look at my username. She gets regularly treated with plush waxes in the winter - DoDo, Natty's, Lusso Oro, etc. In June, it's 915 and 845 because I want to go 3 or more months through those dog days.

Until I have a winter beater with nice enough paint to deserve a coating, my essential maintenance product for our miserable PA winters would have to be a tie between Collinite 476 and DG Rinseless wash. Neither is one I would want to be without.

Thanks for the cool giveaway offer!

Bill

My favorite wintertime product is BlackFire Wet Diamond Rinseless Wash because of its versatility. Not only can it help to wash my car quickly in the frigid temperatures, but it can be used as a quick detailer for outside the vehicle, and inside the vehicle for dusting and cleaning. I can also use it in my water extractor to help keep salt stains in check. It smells great too!
