85rd failed. Any idea why?

Is this only with old school vets 85rd does not work well with or all year vets. I may do a c6 model and kinda curious. Don't have a full array of finisher just m205, 85rd and that's all she wrote, but I'm sure m205 will do just fine

This was the first and only time I have had an issue with 85rd. In my research I found that a different type of paint was used in the '93 ZR-1s vs. the previous year.(Likely to comply with stricter EPA regulations.) You shouldn't have an issue with 85rd and I would stick with it, especially if you are working on a dark color.

I used the tips you posted for M205 when I used 85rd and it came out great. I cleaned the pad half way through a section but next time ill do it when i lower my speed. I played with my technique some on differet spots to see how it affected the results and it's amazing how a small change can affect the finish you get.

IMO, this is what makes the DA such a fun tool to attempt to master. There are so many techniques and tweaks that affect the final performance. I personally have found that the DA is a much more difficult tool to master than a rotary. I'm glad that your results were better! :rockon:bigups

I missed that idea.
