Is this best applied by hand or pc ?

Will it leave a white residue behind or stain trim ?

I currently have 2 coats of 976 on all winter and its held up fantastic but I'm sure it's starting to diminish as it's been through many washes , but still beads and shines very nice.. Just feel the need to spruce it up since it is nice outside . I have not tried the 845 to any extent yet so advice is appreciated .

Its the kind of product you will probably need to dedicate a pad too. Its tough stuff and getting out of the foam is PIA.

Personally i apply by hand, it glides on and wipes aways easy enough.

I apply 845 by hand in super thin coats too. Works well and is easy enough to use. Just remember, less is more.

I usually apply 845 via PC, speed ~4, using a Griot's red waxing pad.

No, it doesn't stain trim and I use it on exterior plastic and sometimes even rubber. But don't put it on too thickly or it'll leave residue in the depths of the surface's texture.

yep, but with a black pad, or a green pad, whatever I have on hand and is not used

Does the 976S stain trim?

Do you mean 476S?

If so, it doesn't stain trim the way Blitz does, but it does stain *some* trim and *can* stain trim generally if you don't do it right. Excess product will remain in the trim's texture, and that can cause serious headaches, so don't use too much in any case.

That said, I've applied it on a lot of platic (and even rubber!) trim without problems. It's easier to avoid the staining if you apply the 476S over a base of 845 though (which I generally do anyhow).
